Following, we have provided step-by-step instructions on how to set up your own su.pr account, as well as answered some of the most frequently asked questions.
Su.pr FAQ
- How does Su.pr complement StumbleUpon?
Su.pr expands on StumbleUpon's mission of discovery, by increasing discovery opportunity for your site. It allows you to share interesting content with a wider audience, including your circles of friends on Facebook and followers on Twitter, who may not be StumbleUpon users. - How does the URL I promoted with Su.pr get into the StumbleUpon database?
You will have to either discover the URL yourself or let your audience discover it for you. When someone clicks on the Su.pr link, they will have the option to thumb-it up on the StumbleUpon Web Toolbar. If the URL is not in our database already, they will have the option to discover it right there, from the Web Toolbar. - Are there any posting limit restrictions per domain?
With su.pr, you can post as many URLs from your own domain to your Twitter and Facebook accounts. Visitors to your Su.pr links will have the options to submit your URLs to StumbleUpon directly from the Web Toolbar. Our standard discovery limit per domain by a single user applies. - Why is there no content on the sidebar for links I posted?
Also, the database query that builds best-of content for a domain may take a while to run and compile data. It is now set to run nightly, with plans to increase frequency to 4-6 hours and eventually real-time results. - How many domains can I promote on the sidebar at the same time?
On your Settings page you can add up to 5 different domains. Their best content will be promoted on the sidebar when your su.pr links are loaded in the browser. - Can I save more than one Twitter/Facebook accounts?
You may only authorize one Twitter and one Facebook account at a time. If you happen to have multiple Twitter/Facebook accounts that you would like to post to, you will have to remove the current accounts, and connect to different ones. - How do I get my own custom short-URLs?
If you'd rather use your own custom short URLs instead of the Su.pr short URLs, you will have to add a small amount of JavaScript to your website. With this self-hosted short URL solution, your site will get all the SEO benefits. - Do you support different timezones for scheduling your posts?
When you schedule your posts for later, the times you choose from the dropdown menu represent Pacific Standard Time (GMT -7:00). If you live in a different timezone, calculate the difference and choose the corresponding PST time in our dropdown. We plan to have scheduling times based on your local timezone/computer clock. - Can I post to my Facebook Page/Group?
No. You can only post to your Facebook status update, for a regular Facebook member account. If you'd like to post a Su.pr URL to your Facebook Group or Page, you can copy/paste the Su.pr URL. If you posted the Su.pr URL to Twitter, the stats will still include any traffic you get from the post you manually made on your Facebook Group/Page. - What kind of analytics do I get for a posted Su.pr URL?
The graph/report shows the number of clicks you got on the Su.pr URL, the number of Stumbles from StumbleUpon users, as well as a breakdown of referrers for the traffic you received. In addition to that we will provide stats on Retweets and Reviews on Stumbleupon. - How do I change the time for a scheduled post?
This feature is planned for release in an upcoming version. - How do I edit or delete a scheduled post?
The option to edit or delete a message that has already been scheduled for posting is not yet available.
The result of it all?

Making a Post From Su.pr
Go back to your Su.pr homepage and enter the comment and URL you would like to share with your Twitter followers or Facebook friends.
As the image above shows, you can either: a) post immediately, b) only shorten the URL to use elsewhere (other social media networks, blogs, etc.) or c) schedule your post for later.
