Welcome To Supreme Success!
This lens is aimed at helping you achieve Supreme Success in anything you really want to do.
It's going to talk about what success really is (and that might not be quite what you've been taught it is!), the importance of success, the process of success achievement, and how you can acquire or improve the success skills that you need.
Your Dream Home - And Your Garden?
What Supreme Success Is...
... And Isn't
Supreme Success is getting everything you truly want from life - but only at a price that you're prepared to pay for it.
That means reaching the top in a profession that your parents or your teachers talked you into and you still hate, isn't.
Making millions out of working so hard you lose your relationship, your family, your friends, your health or anything else that really matters to you isn't, either.
The only price that you should ever have to pay for your success is putting energy and ideas into something you love doing.
Only you get to decide what represents success to you. It might be money, it might be love, it might be fame, or it might be something as personal as losing weight or stopping smoking.
It doesn't matter what it is - it only matters that you really want it.
It doesn't have to stop at one thing, either. If you want to write a best-seller, find your perfect partner, buy your dream home and be a champion rose-grower, that's fine - achieving something that you really long for doesn't have to mean you have to give up on everything else you'd like to have or do, achieve or be.
Far from it. Having a range of interests and a balanced life actually reduces stress and makes it easier for you to achieve Supreme Success - in everything you really want to do.
The Glittering Prize...
The Importance Of Success
... To YOU
Once you change your definition of success to include all, and only, those things you're really passionate about, you can really start to see the importance of success... to you.
If what it takes to achieve it is doing something that you really love, and working on increasing your skills in it till they take you where you want to go, success becomes another word for something even more important.
Happiness.
You see, people are hard-wired to achieve things. It goes right back to primeval times, when humans lived by what they could hunt or gather that day. Anyone without the motivation, skill and energy to go after an important target, such as finding enough to eat and drink, making clothes from skins or finding shelter in a warm, dry cave, would simply not survive.
Over time that instinct has developed into the continual quest for a more pleasant life and better ways of doing things that has brought us everything that's ever been discovered or invented, and every fortune that has ever yet been made.
Because it's so hard-wired into human minds, we simply can't be happy if we aren't trying to achieve something - if we haven't got a purpose. We can't help it. That's the way we're made.
Even if you think that you're the most unambitious person on the planet, think again. There's something in your heart that you would really love to do. There is for everyone - you aren't an exception.
If you can't immediately realize what it is, ask yourself what you most wanted as a child. Would you still like to have or do that? People grow out of some ideas - but not the ones they value most.
Imagine that you've just now won the Lottery. Once you've given some to the people and the causes that you care about, and made some wise investments, what would you do just for yourself?
Is there something you would love to study... a career you'd love to switch to, but you don't know whether you'd be able to support yourself in... a bigger, better house that you would love to have... a place you've always dreamed you'd have the chance to travel to someday?
If you achieved it, or even felt that you were making real progress towards achieving it, would you feel good? Would the planning for it, studying it, practicing it, working on it make you feel real joy and satisfaction?
Would it make you happy?
Yes? Well, whatever it is, that's the definition of Supreme Success - for you.

The Success Process
... starts right here
Success isn't just an outcome - it's a process. It begins the moment you commit to going after something that you really want... and unless you just give up, it never, ever, ends.
That's because there's always something more to reach for, another song to sing, another skill to learn, another place to go.
Once you're clear about where it is you want to go, you need to have a plan to get there.
The chances are that you already know most of the steps you'll need to take, or at least can work them out without much difficulty. Don't worry if you don't know all the details - just list everything you do know that you'll have to do, and fill the rest in as you go along.
If you find it difficult, you might like to try the technique of backward planning. Start with the outcome that you want. Imagine you've already got there, and ask yourself just what you did immediately before you reached your target.
Next, picture having just achieved that step, and ask yourself what you did immediately before... and so on.
Some people find that if they start from where they are now and work forwards till they get stuck or run out of ideas, then backwards from the outcome to as far back as they can get, the information from the two techniques will meet up somewhere in the middle, and they'll have a plan.
Another approach to planning is simply to write down every step in the process you can think of, but just as they occur to you, without trying to make them follow on from each other.
This is my own favorite, as it gives you lots of flexibility, and doesn't risk leaving out an important detail because you think you've finished that part of the plan.
Once you've written down every action you can think of that will bring you closer to your target, all you have to do is put them in their most appropriate order... and get started.

Success Skills
... they can ALWAYS use improvement!
Whatever skills you need to learn or polish to achieve the things you want, there are some success skills that apply to anything you're going for - such as...
1 - Motivation;
2 - Energy;
3 - Persistence;
4 - Focus;
5 - Optimism; and
6 - Self-belief.
Most people think of these as being qualities of character. They're not. They're skills - success skills - and they can be learned.
Even if right now you have no confidence at all that you can do the things you long to do.
Even if you feel you don't deserve to.
Even if you think you aren't good enough.
Even if you're terrified of failure... or success.
You can learn success skills that will transform your life - and the degree of happiness you get from it.
You can check out an easy way of doing that at Supreme-Success.com.
