Surviving Motherhood with Humor

Recently I was asked to write a blog about something I was passionate about. Talk about a tough question! There are a lot of things I like/enjoy doing but I couldn't think of anything that I had a "passion" for. But after I thought about it for a few days I remembered an event that changed the focus of my life forever and created my passion. This was the day that my first child was born. It was also the day that I had to go back to an earlier passion - laughter.

Something I have always enjoyed doing - since I was a child - was making people laugh. I love to see people smile & look a little less worried about life than they did 5 minutes ago. I also discovered that I really needed to use my humor when it came to motherhood. Many times my children didn't "get" my humor but that is ok - I felt better with less stress therefore I am a better mom for them. I have 3 children - all girls - ranging from elementary age to college age so I am going through most of the stuff that encompasses motherhood. I use humor to help them and myself to get through life.
