Survivor Gabon...Earth's Last Eden
September 25th, 2008 at 8:00 PM ET the 17th season of the CBS reality television series Survivor began...Survivor Gabon!
Gabon, Africa is described as "Earth's Last Eden" because of it's beautiful landscape and wondrous wildlife.
Survivor Gabon began filming June 23rd and ended on July 31, 2008. Filming location was the Wonga-Wongue Presidential Reserve in Estuaire, Gabon, Africa.
This season, Exile Island will be simply referred to as "Exile" where chosen players sent there will have a choice of receiving a clue to the location of the hidden immunity idol or a luxury comfort item such as bedding, food, etc. (according to shows host, Jeff Probst)
For the 1st time in Survivor history (since 2000), Survivor Gabon was shot in HD!
Finale date: Sunday December 14th
