Who is Susan, and why the 52?
Known on Squidoo as Susan52, I'm a wife and a mom, a baby boomer, a writer and editor, and a busy businessperson who's still trying to figure out what she really wants to be when she grows up.
As for the 52, well, let's just say it was a very good year, especially for my mom and dad. It's also two shiny quarters and two bright pennies, which can take a girl a long way from home if she works as smart as she works hard.
This bio/lensography is about me and mine, and especially about my lenses on Squidoo. I'm especially proud of the honors I've received as a lensmaster, a few of which you can see here.
Thanks so much for visiting my lenses!

The Best Honor Ever on Squidoo - Lens of the Day!
I made it! Twice!
Having a Squidoo lens receive the title of Lens of the Day is the best honor I can think of on Squidoo. My first LOTD was on November 3, 2008, the day before Election Day, for "Making Fun of Sarah Palin - Has Political Humor Crossed the Line?" The second LOTD was May 21, 2009, the day after the American Idol season finale for "Kris Allen, American Idol 2009." Seems current events are my friend!
Thanks to everyone who visited my lenses and left great comments. And thanks to Squidoo for choosing my lenses for the honor!

SquidAngel, SquidAngel, Won't You Be Me . .
In September 2008 I became a SquidAngel! What an honor and what important work angels do!I served two quarters as a SquidAngel but decided to give up my wings for the time being. Keep an eye on the orange sky, though, 'cause I just might be back!

(Events other than the notable birth of Susan52, of course.)

God, Family, and Country First
I'm so proud of my sons!
Of all the hats I wear, Christian wife and mom are my favorite and the most important. My three guys, our two sons and their daddy, don't like me to talk about them very much, so I won't, but I will say that they all now have military backgrounds that make me especially proud. We have a Navy vet, an Army National Guard hero who is home at last (hooah!), and a now former Marine who, I am happy to report, is now a college student with all A's, and living close by (oorah!). My Marine nephew is still in Iraq, so we still have a personal interest and are anxious to get him home safely. When you think about our troops, please send up an extra prayer for our guys, would you? And if you want to remember our troops in a special way, a portion of the proceeds from any purchases made from this page go to support Soldiers' Angels, who have been very good to my sons and their buddies.
A Unique Way To Support Our Troops

Praying for Our Troops
Sometimes we need a reminder.
Susan52: Animal Lover
I'm a dog person. And a cat person.
I adore our cats, and all cats, and made this lens to salute their quirky personalities.
The dancing golden retriever in this first video reminds me of Maggie, our first dog, the one our boys grew up with. The videos of the cats are absolutely hilarious, at least to this cat lover. I like to play the first one, turn up the volume and watch my cats' reaction.
POLL: Do You Love Animals, Too?
It's hard to imagine life without a pet, and it would be hard to choose just one, one cat or one dog. I definitely love both. How about you?
There's Nothing Like a Perry Mason Mystery
I wanted to grow up to be Perry Mason.
My Favorite TV Shows
I've added one!
Of course JAG is now history, but I still love NCIS and CSI (the original one). Additionally, I've found that I love to watch "Bones" on FOX. Even though it's more than just initials, it's a great show and I recommend it.
JAG or NCIS or CSI?
There's something about those acronyms. . .
I love all three! Which is your favorite? Vote it up! (Proceeds from purchases support Soldiers' Angels.)
My Favorite Movies
I actually don't watch a whole lot of movies, but I could watch these over and over again (and I do!).
See one of your favorites? Vote it up!
(Ha! I finally made a lens about my favorite movies!)
Susan52: Online Shopper
The Internet is my favorite shopping destination.
crocs Collegiate Beach Clog
Amazon Price: (as of 07/10/2009)![]()
Most everyone knows about Crocs, synonymous with "comfort." If you haven't tried them, don't put it off any longer.
Are you a Razorbacks fan? You need a pair like these. Prefer another school? That's okay. Click on this pair and you'll find lots more to choose from.
Go Hogs!
Susan52: Football Fan
Woooo, pig. Sooieee. Razorbacks!
I learned football from my kids, and now I'm as big a fan as they are. Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday, Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Ah, I couldn't ask for a better way to spend a football season weekend!
My other favorite place to shop online is eBay, the perfect place to find Razorback fan items and memorabilia.

My Lensography and a Few of My Honors
I have fallen totally head over tentacles in love with Squidoo! So far I have an eclectic blend of lenses with topics from recipes to politics and a whole lot in between - with more to come! You'll find my lenses listed below and I hope you'll visit those whose descriptions you find interesting or intriguing. Then, if you haven't joined Squidoo, choose a topic you're passionate about and dive right in.
Don't be surprised when you find that you love Squidoo, too!
P.S. On May 2, 2008, I received news that I had been included in the new class of Giant Squids on Squidoo! You have to be there to understand what an honor and how exciting that is. Really! I knew it would be special, but I had no idea how good it would feel when I got the news. If you love making lenses on Squidoo, I hope you'll set your sights on Giant, with 50 really good lenses under your belt and having a good Squidoo spirit. If there's anything I can do to help get you there, just let me know. I want you to know what it's like to be a Giant Squid, too! (Meet the Class of May 2008 Giant Squids here.)
P.P.S. New news! As of September 2008, now I'm a SquidAngel, at least for a little while. SquidAngels serve limited terms, so keep an eye on the Squidoo sky; I might be visiting your lenses. Are they fit for a blessing? SquidAngels have very high standards!

Absolutely awesome lensography! We seem to have a lot in common. Both have an affinity for the year 1952 (it was a fabulous year for my parents too!). Thanks for the encouragement you've given me on several of my lenses. I've lensrolled you too.
