  • Susans are creative and ground-breaking.
  • Susans are loyal and dedicated.
  • Susans are passionate and world-changing.

Best friend to Sally, girlfriend/fiancee to Steve and ex-girlfriend of Patrick, Susan is one of Jeff's co-workers. Susan is usually very sensible and organised, a fact often resented by her friends Sally and Jane. Susan can be very insecure and often takes this out on Steve. Steve and Susan's various arguments and differences of opinion make up a majority of the comic exchanges between them. Susan Sto Helit

Susan Sto Helit (also spelled Sto-Helit), once referred to as Susan Death, is a fictional character who has featured in three of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels: Soul Music, Hogfather, and Thief of Time. She is also referenced (though not by name) at the end of Mort, when her father invites Death to her christening.

She is the daughter of Ysabell, Death's adopted daughter (introduced in The Light Fantastic) and Mort, who was briefly his apprentice (in Mort). At the end of Mort they leave Death's domain and become Duke and Duchess of Sto Helit. Susan is their only child.

She is first introduced as a sixteen-year-old pupil at the Quirm College for Young Ladies in Soul Music, shortly after the death of her parents (Death could not save them, only grant them eternal life at his Domain, which they refused). After graduating ? and despite technically being the current Duchess of Sto Helit ? she begins a teaching career, first as a governess (in Hogfather) and then as a schoolteacher (in Thief of Time). She insists on being addressed as "Miss Susan". She was 16 when first encountered in Soul Music and, since the novels take place roughly in real time, was roughly 21 during her final appearance to date in Thief of Time.

Susan Bradley

In the 1946 musical The Harvey Girls, Judy Garland plays Susan Bradley, an Ohio girl heading to Flat Rock, New Mexico because she answered a bridal ad and has committed to marrying a man she's never even seen. During her train trip, she falls in with a group of girls from all across America, heading west to work at one of the Harvey House restaurants on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railway line.

Upon arriving, Susan finds her fiancé an ill-educated, unbathed cowboy who likewise has second thoughts about marrying because, now that he's gotten himself a woman, he doesn't seem quite sure what to do with her. They call off the wedding amiably and Susan decides to throw in her lot with the Harvey girls. Problem is, across the street from the brand new Harvey House is the Alhambra saloon and dance hall (and probably bordello) run by a dashing (in a Caesar Romero sort of way) but shady entrepreneur named Ned Trent (John Hodiak). The Harvey girls soon square off against the Alhambra tramps and their leader Em (Angela Lansbury, Murder, She Wrote)."
