You can't ever possibly get tired of this muppetshow character! Muppets are meant to be crazy but this one is even more screwed up than animal. His song is famous all over the world! He seems almost as linguisticly impaired as Beaker but actually speaks a grammatically very complex language dubbed Mock Swedish.

The chef is one of the hottest and most sought after characters from the muppetshow. Well if you don't count the collectors addicted to frog and pig that is. Be sure to check out or try the chef's recipes! I've tried to link to real-life recipes that match the chefs attempts the best! So no clue as to what to eat tonight? I recommend the squirrel stew!

I have links to collectibles for the real fans. I've listed the e-bay items at the bottom so they won't bother the people who come here just to browse for fun...I have to say that even if you're just a lover and no buyer the products are great to look at. I love the lobster and chef set and the complete-kitchenset..

If you want to see even more links on the chef...they're at bottom of the page. They include games and various other nice things. Remember this lens!

I've created various other LENSES on my favourite Muppet characters.

Moments of Glory

This is Nostalgia!

Bork Bork Bork - Mock Swedish

all about language

Everybody knows about the weird song he is singing but no-one really knows what the text is. In truth there is no text. It changed slightly as the muppetshow progressed except for the last three words...Bork Bork Bork, which he used as a cue to throw around his stuff through the kitchen. Bork actually still sound more like Mork to me...

The gibberish really caught on in the world and a lot of people did fun things with the phenomenon dubbed Mock Swedish! The first translator ever to be written was in UNIX so the hacker world had an instant new icon.

Check the links on Bork Bork Bork to find out for yourself!

Recipes/ Tips from the Chef

Want to try his dishes for real?

Links to make the working versions of the chefs recipes plus tips!
BANANA SPLIT
Chef made his trying to use an axe and a banana. Also known as the Bananana-na-na-nana-na Spleet. In the real version you will need slightly more ingredients but thats hardly a drawback.
BREAD
Chef was knocked out before he could get past the dough, but it seems his aim was to make bread. Make your own bread and make sure you don't use living dough! everything is here... from easy quick bread to bananabread.
CHOCOLATE CAKE
The chef's cake was finished but could not be cut into pieces. The cake spoke some japanese-like language and refused to be cut. Therefore the chef smashed the cake to smithereens with his kuckesmasher! The cake appeared to be a chocolat cake and chef added some strawberries... I found a replica to make for yourself!
CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
Chef made his using a bowl of chocolate and a moose. Real mousse might seem easy to make but in fact it can be quite tricky. Not as hard as to find a real moose though.
COCONUT
One can only guess what the chef tried to do with the coconut... throwing it into the air and shooting it... Here is a link on how to open a coconut in the safest and easiest way without the use of a boom-boom!
CHICKEN IN A BASKET
Chef used a basketballhoop and a live chicken for this one...chickens bounce like swedish meatballs appearantly.
CROONCHY STARS
Yes the chef made Cereals in the 80's. It was discontinued after a year. Perhaps you can, with this link, create your croonchy stars yourself. *note the chef added cinnamon in de commercial
DONUTS
Chef made his the easy way.. shooting a hole in a couple of muffins. These real donuts are probably way more tasty. 37 recipes on how to create them yourself without the need for firearms!
FISH CHOWDER
Chef simply chowed down a fish after the fish ate all his kitchen utensils, but the real recipe is way more tasty. Create your own real Fishee Chowder.
FROG LEGS
Chef tried to use Kermits nephew for this one but Kermit stopped the broadcast just in time. These fried frog legs are supposed to be a real delicacy. (I doubt Kermit agrees)
HOT DOG
Chef was cooking his Hottie Doo-gies just when piggy came in looking for her dog FooFoo. I doubt anyone knows how to really make hotdogs yourself and i seriously doubt that there is actually a person that WANTS to know. Here some recipes to do with the prefab hotdog.
LOBSTER
Chef tried his luck at cooking a lobster but the lobster was sprung free by his desperado comrades from Mexico. This links to a load of lobster recipes and how to cook them without getting rogue lobsters in your kitchen!
MEATBALLS
Chef made the balls a bit to bouncy. Everyone who has ever been to the IKEA knows about the swedish meatballs, so how do we make these things without ending up with tennisballs like chef. This links to the GENUINE IKEA BALLS!
SALAD (ala boomboom)
Better known as Sheeleed a la BoomBoom or "On the origins of the Brussel Sprouts" There is not a real salad a la boomboom sad to say.. but loads of other salads here! At least you don't need a gun for this salad.
SPICY SAUCE
Chef was eventually blown up after trying his sauce. Probably because he didn't do things according to a recipe. Following this link you will find a bagillion recepies to real spicy sauces!
SQUIRREL STEW
Chef never managed to get his hands on a squirrel and was effectively chased out of the forest by the animals. However squirrel stew actually exists and is supposed to be great. Loads of squirrel-recipes here including the stew! How about Squirrel nuggets? (Would be a fun addition for McDonald...a bucket of McSquirrels)
DR BUNSEN HONEYDEW
Cannibalism on the muppet show! In one episode Dr Bunsen Honeydew was in the chef's pan hiding from a dozen Beeker-clones. The chef seemed disappointed that he couldn't cook him. Here I found a recipe for all cannibals in the human world.
PANCAKES
Introduction on how to succesfully flip pancakes. The Chef oncemore had to resort to his "Blunder Bus a.k.a. BoomBoom" for this one. It rained pancakes for a day in the studios. Practice flipping with this link :p
