Sweet As Revenge | SAR Band

Starting from just practicing in the studio, then they decided to record their first demo. Their first song titled "Broken Lines and Empty Smile ". Sweet as Revenge began sweeping the platforms at various community events in Jakarta. Shown with only a handful of people watched as the opening band. It does not make them discouraged but it is considered as an experience that will strengthen them as a band. The song "Broken Lines and Empty Smile" finally attracting dE Records.

The song re-recorded for inclusion in the compilation "Anthems of Tomorrow (dE Records, 2004). A compilation album containing the bands post-hardcore. The song "Broken Lines and Empty Smile" also briefly ruled the MTV Cutting Edge charts for several weeks. A proud achievement for a band that is still a very young age. It is also their name out to the surface and began to be known by the public.

Over time, as well as differences in vision, mission and interests of their respective personnel, resulting in several personnel changes and in musical Sweet Revenge as a whole. After passing through a long recording process, the results of their work can be heard on a mini album titled "Birth of Expectations (Self Released, 2008)" which was released on January 5, 2008.

A mini album contains 6 songs that reflected the bitterness and sweetness of their lives. The Release of mini-album "Birth of Expectations" got a pretty good response. The launching of the mini album itself was attended by approximately 700 of audience. The number is quite fantastic. Their single titled "Potret Kehampaan" is often heard on the radio.

After the release of mini album "Birth of Expectations", Sweet as Revenge begins to reach the media. They are starting from the stage of community events, high school events, campus events, live performances, promos and interviews on the radio. This is as an effort to reach out to new listeners and those who do not know as Sweet Revenge. Until now, the final formation as Revenge is Sweet: Dinand (vocals), Qzoot (guitar), Mamie (guitar), Febri (bass), Nissa (keyboards), and Nanda (drums).

The journey from stage to stage, the conflict after conflict and life experience of each personnel has been enriching experience of the band. This makes them try to be more solid and consistent in the work. Sweet as Revenge will continue to maintain its existence.
