American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI)

Florida Home Inspectors ASHI have a code of ethics and standards of practice. You can read their membership categories and requirements. Check out some of the frequently asked questions on home inspections to help educate yourself. You can even view a virtual home inspection to give you some idea of what they actually do.

National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI)

Florida Home Inspectors NAHI have a code of ethics, standards of practice and different levels of membership. They have a good resource library and articles for home buyers and home sellers.

Membership to either of these associations is not mandatory for home inspectors. There are many qualified home inspectors who are not members. Ask your real estate agent for a referral.
