A Cappella group The Swingle Singers have been astonishing listeners with their concerts and recordings for over forty years.
The remarkable original group - based in Paris, France and founded by the american Ward Swingle - won five Grammy awards for their unique-sounding fusion of classical instrumental music with vocalese and smooth scat-singing.
Successive generations of The Swingle Singers - now based in London, UK - have pushed the boundaries of what is possible with just eight human voices and stay at the forefront of professional ensemble singing in the 21st century. They've worked with many genre-defining artists including the Modern Jazz Quartet, Luciano Berio, Michael Nyman, Jarvis Cocker and Shlomo & the Vocal Orchestra.

The Swingle Singers are a vocal group formed in 1962 in Paris, France with Ward Swingle, Anne Germain, Jeanette Baucomont and Jean Cussac. Christiane Legrand, the sister of composer Michel Legrand, was the lead soprano in the group. There are a total of eight members in the group: two sopranos, two altos, two tenors and two basses.
