SWTOR Level Cap | Star Wars: The Old Republic
What is the SWTOR Level Cap?

The SWTOR Level Cap is basically the highest level you would need to get to in order to reach the endpoint of the game. At this moment, the SWTOR level cap is known to be level 50. Now, I personally think that this is a good idea as I believe this is less than I was expecting, particularly after WoW.
Sometimes, when you're trying to level and get through the game on your own, the grind and monotony of trudging through endless levels, especially when things get a little difficult, can suck the fun right out of the gameplay. I think 50 is just about okay, so that you can get through the levels and then check out the ops that they have in store beyond level 50.
Of course, a great way of getting an advantage and leveling quicker is by using a SWTOR Leveling Guide.
SWTOR Planets and Levels
While talking about levels, it's also important to mention the different leveling planets, because the planet that you will find yourself on as you explore the galaxy is dictated by which class you are initially and the level you are on.The SWTOR Level Cap is 50, like I mentioned before, but the levels between 1 - 50 are broken up into different swtor planet levels and ranges. I will now go into a little bit of detail to show you all the swtor planets by level as follows, and hopefully this can help you with your gameplay:
SWTOR Levels 1-10
Republic Classes

Jedi Knights and Jedi Consulars will begin their SWTOR adventures on Tython, the safe haven of the Jedi.

Smugglers and Troopers begin on Ord Mantell, the once beautiful planet which has been torn apart by a huge civil war and deep-seated corruption.
Sith Classes

Sith Inquisitors and Sith Warriors begin on Korriban, the birthplace of the ancient Sith civilisation.
Hutta

Bounty Hunters and Imperial Agents begin on Hutta, a place where the underworld still thrives and crime is ubiquitous.
SWTOR Levels 10-16
Coruscant

At this point, players who have allegiance to the Republic faction will progress to Coruscant, the safe and prosperous capital of the Republic which is protected by the Jedi.
Dromund Kass

Sith Empire players will head over to Dromund Kass, the planet on which the Empire's capital - Kass City - is situated.
SWTOR Levels 16-20
Balmorra

The next SWTOR planet is Balmorra, the manufacturing capital of the galaxy. Here, they specialise in manufacturing weapons and droids.
SWTOR Levels 20-24
Nar Shaddaa

Nar Shaddaa is the next stop on your adventure, and is one of the most dangerous places across the galaxy. It has the big cities, bright lights and, beneath all that glitz and glamour, a dark, seedy underbelly of corruption.
SWTOR Levels 24-28
Tatooine

The next levelling planet is Tatooine, which is effectively an independent planet made up of a vast desert that roasts under the heat of two suns.
SWTOR Levels 28-32
Alderaan

From Tatooine, you will progress to Alderaan. This is an independent planet which still exhibits traces of the culture and beauty for which it was once known, before the wars and political conflicts. With greenery and mountain peaks, it will certainly be a different experience from Tatooine.
SWTOR Levels 32-36
Taris

Nothing more than a post-apocalyptic swamp, Taris is the next levelling planet. It is now under the control of the Republic, which seeks to make it a military base, but the Empire will obviously have something to say about that!
SWTOR Levels 36-37
Quesh

Quesh is an interesting planet which is both dangerous and valuable all at the same time. As well as the poisonous and toxic atmosphere and swamps, it is the source of immeasurable wealth and as such both factions are battling for control.
SWTOR Levels 37-41
Hoth

Hoth is the next SWTOR leveling planet, a remote independent planet which is a frozen wasteland on the surface, but has a molten core which serves a useful purpose for mining. It is known as a ship graveyard as a lot of the most powerful starships were destroyed here during the Great War.
SWTOR Levels 41-44
Belsavis

Belsavis is a Republic-controlled planet which is made up of both frozen wasteland and inhabitable temperate areas which have been created from the planet's volcanic activity.
SWTOR Levels 44-47
Voss

This is a planet which was discovered accidentally but is now important to both factions. The Gormaks and Mystics inhabit this planet, the latter having very powerful and advanced abilities in harnessing the Force. This is why both sides seek an alliance with this race, but the Mystics view it in their best interests to stay out the bitter feud that both factions are embroiled in.
SWTOR Levels 47-50
Corellia

Corellia is well known for being one of the best commercial centres in the galaxy, and is under Republic control. For all its beauty and industry, there is an underlying corruption. This might be useful for players, though, as it means that you will be able to get whatever you want here.
This is the planet on which you will most likely hit level 50, the SWTOR level cap.
SWTOR Levels 50+
Ilum

The planet Ilum is right on the edge of the galaxy which was abandoned until it was discovered by the Jedi as a source of Adegan crystals, useful for their lightsabers.
Beyond the SWTOR Level Cap...
But that's the thing about level caps, isn't it? As a player, you look forward to hitting the level cap - in this case, the highest level in SWTOR. But when you do, then there is that feeling which hounds you... You know, the one that makes you feel as if you want more!

Well, Bioware says it's aware of this, and has plans for a SWTOR endgame. Once you get to the SWTOR Level cap 50, Bioware has created an open world PvP zone where players can fight one another.
It has also created its version of a standard MMO raid, called "Operations". In Operations, up to 16 players can join forces and fight together against what Bioware calls "the greatest threats in the galaxy". It even conducted a demo on something called the Eternity Vault, which is an ancient prison that holds an "enemy older than both the Republic and the Empire".
Excited? You should be!
