SWTOR Talent Trees | Star Wars: The Old Republic

In this lens, I will be talking about SWTOR Talent Trees. These are also known as SWTOR Skill Trees, and they indicate the areas of specialisation that your character will have as you make progress. This will depend on your advanced class and how you spend your XP (experience) points as you level up in the game.

I will be listing out all the SWTOR talent trees for each advanced class as well, and I hope that this will help you. Please feel free to drop me a line right at the bottom to let me know how you're getting on and if you have any questions.

SWTOR Talent Trees Explained

Star Wars The Old Republic Talent TreesAs you very well know, there are 2 factions, 8 SWTOR classes and 16 SWTOR advanced classes (2 per class). These advanced classes can be thought of as specialisations within each class. So the background story will be shared, but player can still customise themselves further to, for example, tackle different roles when playing in groups with other players.

Each class has 5 skills or talents available to it. These are actually known as SWTOR talent trees, and it shows clearly how your character specialises as you level and as you spend XP points.

These 5 talents are split between the 2 advanced classes, such that each SWTOR advanced class has three skills in total - two unique talents, and one shared talent which is a characteristic of the class.

So, for example:

A Sith Warrior can pick from either the Juggernaut or Marauder advanced classes when you hit Level 10 in the game.

The Juggernaut advanced class will have 3 talent trees available to it: Immortal, Rage and Vengeance.

The Marauder advanced class will also have 3 talent trees available to it: Anihilation, Carnage and Rage.

Can you see that each has two unique talents, but also one common skill by virtue of their common class, which is Rage?

As you decide how to spend your XP points, you will determine the path your character takes along the talent tree and as such you will be able to customise it in terms of distinct abilities.

If you select your advanced class, you can see all its skill trees, the different levels you can get to, and how many points you need to progress at each stage. For example, you can see clearly how to spend your swtor training points, or something like what the best crew skills for smuggler gunslinger or whichever swtor advanced class you're playing as.
