Sylar From Heroes - The Best Villian on DVD

Sylar - My Favorite Villian

Heroes is U.S. fantasy TV drama series. The series is about ordinary people who discover they have superhuman abilities, and how the abilities effect their lives. It premiered in 2006. The story telling is reminiscent of American comic books. (Excuse me, I mean graphic novels.) If you have never seen NBC's Heroes, I recommend starting. It's worth seeing just to watch the main villain Sylar in action.

Once a respectable watchmaker, Gabriel Gray or Sylar, is now a super powered serial killer who targets other super humans in order to steal their powers. His hunger for power pushes him to digest their abilities by removing their brains. (No, he doesn't literally eat their brains.)

The primary villain of the first season, Sylar evolved into an anti-hero and finally into a hero by the end of season 4. Unfortunately there won't be a season 5. Heroes was canceled. :>( But you can still get Heroes, seasons 1 through 4, on DVD!

Zachary Quinto

A Fabulous Actor

Zachary first appeared in the television series The Others. He also guest stared on shows including CSI, Touched by an Angel, Charmed, Six Feet Under, Lizzie McGuire, and L.A. Dragnet. Zachary's theater experience includes roles in a variety of productions. He had a role in Much Ado About Nothing at the Los Angeles Shakespeare Festival and Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow at the Old Globe. He is also an active supporter of gay rights, acting in a one night production of Standing on Ceremony at the El Portal Theater (in support of gay marriage), and acting in a production of The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later. This fostered a big debate on whether he was a gay or not. Zachary hasn't said and who cares. He is a fabulous actor!

I have a slight obsession with Sylar. He is the most fascinating (and sexy) villain I've ever seen. I'm really bummed that they cancelled Heroes. At least I can still watch it on Netflix as often as I want!

Nice Work on your lens. It's really hard not to like Sylar. His character is quite interesting and has so many powers. I wonder what's next for his character. Thanks for listing all his powers...I lost track. ~Squid Greeter
