Can Surgery Cure Blushing?

Ranked #6,391 in Healthy Living, #113,767 overall

Severe blushing can lead many to contemplate surgery...

I was so embarrassed about my out-of-control blushing, I immediately looked into Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS) surgery options. I ignored all the other non-invasive options and felt like I needed something drastic. I was so exhausted from the stress of it all, I just wanted my blushing to end!

All of my reasons to do something as permanent as surgery to cure my blushing seemed worth it to me. I wanted to stop feeling helpless, to feel like a whole person again. To regain my sanity, honestly.

I'm glad I did some research FIRST and I'm thankful you're reading this now. Think of it as a summary of my research into surgery for blushing and what I ultimately used to stop.

What is an Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy?

A Sympothectomy or ETS for blushing involves irreversible destruction of portions of the sympathetic nerve trunk. You have to be completely anesthetized while the surgeons dissect your "main Sympathetic Trunk" interrupting neural information that travels to the different organs, glands and muscles.

In search for a procedure to make ETS surgery LESS permanent, small titanium clamps can be put around the nerve tissue that would normally be cut. These clamps need to be removed quickly (within days) if the patient decides they don't want to risk anirreversible condition.

Sounds pretty intense doesn't it?

Well, I personally don't think you need surgery. If I could recover from my severe case without a Sympathectomy, you can too. So please do yourself a favor and visit STOP BLUSHING NOW! BEFORE you try anything else. You'll experience fast results.

Known Side Effects of Surgery

In my opinion, the side-effects are worse than the actual blushing condition itself.

Post-surgery patients have commonly experienced excessive sweating in the palms and groin area, painful and/or numb nerve sensations, Horner's syndrome (drooping eyelids & disfigurement of the face), abnormal heart rate, thyroid problems, alteration of lung volume, abnormal skin temperature, reduction of various emotional responses, induction of goose-bumps, and so on.

Remember, there is no re-connecting the nerves once they are cut. At least not with today's technology!

I started reading reviews by people who actually tried something non-invasive that worked. The majority of people suggested Non-Surgical Options, like the brilliant Hypnosis audio I mentioned above. It became my best friend and I took it everywhere I went.

Origins of the Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy

I was surprised, finding that it was invented in the 1800's, when scientists were learning that the nerves connected to most every organ, gland and muscle in the body!

It's noted that the first surgery was done in 1889 In the 1990's though, Sweden - who had perfected the non-invasive ETS surgery - decided to ban the procedure. This was due to many complaints from patients with disabling side-effects who actually started an organization called FFSO (People disabled by Sympathectomy).
