The Symptoms of Panic Attacks Can Be Quite Scary

There are a number of symptoms of panic attacks that I will get to in a moment, but first I would like to say that having a panic attack can be downright scary. I should know. I had my first panic attack while sitting in church one Sunday morning. What an odd place to have a panic attack.

But it happened and I was truelly scared. I felt my mind start to race and I got all sweaty. I thought I was having a heart attack. I am in my mid forties so that could have been a possibility. Anyway I sat there thinking "what is wrong with me? Am I freaking out here or what?"

I didn't know it but I was having my first panic attack. Thankfully I was able to control it. I have had a few since then, but luckily I do not suffer from them all the time. Some peole are not that lucky. My sister suffers from them and can't even drive far from her house. Although everyone suffers in their own way, we are all victims of a potentially debilitating disorder. Panic attacks can literally stop you from enjoying your life. Please don't think you suffer alone. Read on for the symptoms of panic attacks and see if you have suffered any of the ones below.
