What is a Panic Attack and What are the Symptoms?

What are the symptoms of a Panic Attack?

Most people mistake panic attacks as being a heart attack. Because the symptoms are quite similar but panic attacks are not really life threatening. When someone experiences a panic attack they undergo a "fight or flight" response which charges the body with pure adrenaline. The human heart starts beating rapidly, to the point where it can start to overstress the body. Breathing becomes difficult and short. The mind feels a short of unreality taken over. Chest pains become apparent and the hands feel tingly. These are all symptoms of a panic attack.

Panic attacks are a natural response to when humans used to be hunted by large carnivores which would then trigger the fight or flight response. This short of adrenaline response is the short of thing that is a natural reaction for survival. So now, unless you are physically attacked or stalked there is really no reason to suffer from that rush of adrenaline, or is there? What do you do if you have panic attacks?

Panic Attack Cure Treatment

Many doctors would have you believe there is a magic pill which will cure you of your panic attacks, this is patently untrue. While such drugs may help with the problem in the short-term, they do not address the root of the problem. In addition, many such drugs can be highly addictive, and difficult to stop using when you have been doing so for long periods.

What Are the Available Treatments for Panic Attack Symptoms?

Luckily there is a variety of treatments.

When a person is having Panic Attack Symptoms it is best to seek treatment right away. Panic Attacks are unpredictable at most times and can happen unexpectedly. This would be almost paralyzing if someone has a Panic Attack while driving, working, or at any type of social event. So treatment is best advised.

The available treatments on the market offer patients to choose what path they seek to cure their Panic Attacks. Panic Attack Cure Treatment

Medication and the pro's and con's

There is a choice of seeking medication for Panic Attacks. Most medications offered for this treat anxiety. And anxiety is one of the underlying causes of a Panic Attack. There are pro's and con's that come with taking medications.

However, medications are only a temporary fix and the human body could grow tolerant to the treatment. Patients would also have to deal with the potential side effects of different medications. With the variety of different types of medications it is usually a hit or miss situation because every person reacts different to each type of medication.

Psychiatric Help and the pro's and con's

Other treatments for Panic Attacks require consultant from a psychiatrist. A person who studies mental health issues could steer a patient in the right direction. Usually verbal consultant takes place and most of the time the Psychiatrist will almost always recommend medication.

The downfall on going to see a Psychiatrist is that most of them have never suffered from a Panic Attack and can't relate to their patients. They will give you information straight out of a text book and offer medication that is not in your best interests. Plus you will have to pay for each appointment you set up with your Psychiatrist.

The treatment that I recommend that worked for me

There is one specific treatment that I found that has worked for me and plenty of others. It is a book called "Panic Away" which is developed by someone who actually suffered from Panic Attack Symptoms. The author spent over 10 years studying the knowledge gathered from the best psychologists and implemented his own experiences which then turns his method into a very successful Panic Attack treatment.

My Own Personal Experience with Panic Attack Symptoms

When I had my first Panic Attack symptom

My first Panic Attack symptom was at the young age of 24 years old. I had everything I could want in life but somehow I started having Panic Attacks out of no where. I did not know what triggered it, after the 2nd Panic Attack I knew that something had to be done to fix it.

Simple everyday stress could have caused my Panic Attacks and even my diet played a role as well. Even other types of medications such as antibiotics can cause Panic Attacks. Each time I had a Panic Attack is was very scary for me. Because my heart would start racing out of my chest that I seriously thought that I was going to die. I could not believe how my heart could handle such stress.

Even after my Panic Attack went away I still felt very sick and weak. My chest would still hurt, my breathing felt very thin, and my arms and legs would tense up so bad. My friends or family had no idea what to do on helping me. I felt very helpless and alone.

What Panic Attack treatments did I try?

I tried to seek medical attention and was prescribed simple "anxiety" medications but they did not help as much. Even with medications I suffered from side effects. I have been to so many shrinks and psychiatrist that it was getting pointless for me. I had to find another way.

I always believed I was strong to defeat any type of mental illness on my own. I had recovered from being a victim to depression for most of my life that I even got rid of that. But, I could not cure my Panic Attacks on my own. They came unexpectedly and no matter how I tried to fight it off, I always ended up having a Panic Attack at the slightest trigger.

My successful treatment that cured my Panic Attacks

Joe McDonagh has developed a program that has been very effective on treating my Panic Attacks. The program is very informative and trains the body and mind to keep anxiety away and helped cured my Panic Attacks. I just had to slightly change my diet (less caffeine, sugar, etc.) and practice the methods in the training program.

The Panic Attack cure program also offers a few audio sessions that has helped me get to sleep more comfortably. I remember before I was scared to sleep and would wake up in fear. After listening to the audio course for a few times I have been able to sleep without a problem.

Believe me, from a person who has suffered for along time from Panic Attack symptoms this is one of the most successful treatments I have experienced. I would recommend this to anyone and even my own family if they ever had Panic Attack symptoms. It's really that effective.
