You can start worrying about the symptoms of this condition when you feel an annoying burning sensation around the mouth. Unlike other types of dermatitis, itching is not a common symptom of perioral dermatitis.

Other of the physical signs of this conditions are bumps. These bumps or papules are filled with fluid or pus and they look like acne around the mouth. In rare cases these bumps spread to other areas of the face like the nose, forehead or the area around the eyes.

The severity of these symptoms vary depending on each patient. They can be mild or severe and the treatment must be given according to this severity.

The most important thing to do is visit a doctor to get a proper diagnose. Depending of your condition your doctor will indicate to stop steroid medications and any facial cream you are currently using.
