Tag Heuer Watches

Tag Heuer was funded in 1860 and in 1869 patented the first crown winding mechanisms for pocket watches. In 1882 Tag Heuer was the first watchmaker to mass produce chronographs. In 1890 they put the first collection of wristwatches on the market.

In 1916 they invent the worlds first sports stopwatch the "Micograph". In 1939 they launch the waterproof chronograph. In 1969 they launch the Monico the worlds first square water-resistant chronograph, this model was preferred by Steve Mcqueen.

In 1970 they launch the Pulsar the first watch fitted with a 21 quartz calibre and led time display. In 2005 it launches the Calibre 360 the first mechanical wrist chronograph accurate to 1/100th of a second.
