How To Use Tagfoot

As I recently became the first member on Tagfoot to reach a Footness of 100,000, I thought I'd share 100 hot Tagfoot tips with you!

The most important thing to remember is just to have fun. Tagfoot can be confusing when you're just starting out, but stick with it.

You will soon become part of the most friendliest community that I have found online. You'll soon agree that Tagfoot Rocks!

I'd like to say a special thanks to 'SUPPORT' at Tagfoot for allowing me to use content and images from the Tagfoot site... thank you.

What Is A Bigfoot?

There are several Bigfeet on Tagfoot. It's a great honour to be selected.

The current Bigfeet reguarly discuss ways to help shape the future of Tagfoot as well as helping and guiding members. I've added a list of current Bogfeet further down the page.

If a Bigfoot rates or Foots you up or down, it has more impact than any other rating in the same way.

Taken from the HELP pages at Tagfoot;

'A Bigfoot is a trusted Tagfoot member. In short, you don't want to make them mad and you want as many of them as possible on your friends list.

A Bigfoot has the ability to make or break you on Tagfoot. If a Bigfoot takes a liking to you, consider yourself lucky.

If a Bigfoot is unhappy with your behaviour, consider your Tagfoot days numbered.'

How to...

Manage Your Friends

powered by Youtube

Twitfoot Badge

This is probably the easiest of the badges to acquire.

To gain a Twitfoot badge, all you have to do is to add your Twitter id in your tagfoot profile.

All of your public footsteps and comments can automatically be published to Twitter, if you so choose.

Profoot Badge

A Profoot is a Tagfoot member who has qualified for and is earning money through Google's adsense and Amazon revenue sharing programmes.

You simply need to have ten items under bookmarks, videos, news, pictures and wishlist. Of course, those items need to be appropriately tagged and have clear headings.

If you don't already have one, then apply to Google for adsense id, and then apply to Support for Profoot status.

Bigfoot Badge

Here it is... the much coveted Bigfoot badge.

Hard to obtain, easy to lose.

Taken from the HELP pages at Tagfoot;

'A Bigfoot is a trusted Tagfoot member. In short, you don't want to make them mad and you want as many of them as possible on your friends list.

A Bigfoot has the ability to make or break you on Tagfoot. If a Bigfoot takes a liking to you, consider yourself lucky.

If a Bigfoot is unhappy with your behaviour, consider your Tagfoot days numbered'.

Mentor Badge

A Mentor can be selected during the sign up process or even if you've been a member for a while, you can still select a Mentor.

To be a Mentor, you first need to be a Bigfoot.

It's a serious business being a Mentor. Your Mentor can advise you and guide you through your footsteps at Tagfoot.

But remember, we're all volunteers.

100,000 Badge

As I write this module, there is only ONE black badge on Tagfoot.

That happens to belong to me. I am honoured to be the first person on Tagfoot to achieve this status and if it wasn't so much fun on there, I never would've spent so much time tagging!

However, Poddys for one is close on my heels and many are chasing for one of these little beauties!

UPDATE! Poddys made it and there are now two Black badges on Tagfoot! Congrats to Poddys!!

Spamfoot Badge

This is one badge you do NOT want on your profile!

This badge is reserved for the most persistent members who disregard other people and use the 'share to all' option over and over again without any thought for others.

The shiny red badge of death can be yours too if you spam others... be warned, you don't want to become a wort on Tagfoot do you?

100 Tips To Enhance Your Tagfoot Experience

76 - 100

76. Create a Tagfoot wishlist widget to earn revenue to place on your blog etc
77. Add your Paypal account information to your Tagfoot account so you can be paid
78. Tag everything... did I say that already?
79. Buy stuff from your own wishlist
80. Be confident knowing that Tagfoot will NOT sell or pass on your personal details or email address to anyone... ever!
81. tagfoot is a place to debate... anything
82. tagfoot is a place to befriend like minded individuals
83. Invite others to join you at Tagfoot
84. Use the 'delete' button if your message box gets too full and get rid of shares that you don't have time to read
85. tagfoot is not a place to peddle
86. Easily organise your friends into groups
87. Click on anything you haven't used before and discover something new
88. Select an option to notify you of your friends birthdays
89. Add your birthday to your profile so your friends know when it is
90. Check the profiles of other people to see what they're interested in
91. Check other peoples bookmarks etc to see how they use tags and get some ideas
92. If in doubt, ask... anyone!
93. Something technical not working? Look for the bug dump items in Supports news items and report it
94. Or, send a note to Support about a bug in the system
95. Get used to words such as 'Friendification' and other words we make up on Tagfoot
96. Be prepared to be addicted... very soon!
97. Sort items from drop down menus
98. Did I mention tagging?
99. Let your friends know how they can tag you so they share stuff that you'll be interested in
100. Give me a break LOL!

How To Select A Mentor

You can select a Mentor either during the sign up process, or as a current member.

Why have a Mentor? Tagfoot can be a confusing place for some. We're here to help smooth the footpath for you to help you take the steps to enjoy Tagfoot to it's fullest.

If you're already a member but didn't know you could select a Mentor, here's how to do it. If you're about to sign up to Tagfoot, the system will guide you through the process.

Go to your Profile page. Look under your avatar and you will see 'Mentor - None selected' Click on that and follow the instructions!

Current Mentors

This is a list of the Mentors currently available on Tagfoot.

These people are volunteers who give their time freely to help others.

They are all Bigfeet but have taken on the responsibility to help members, new and old.

If you select one of these as your Mentor, you can be assured of good, friendly advice.

The list may change from time to time and I'll try and update as often as need be.

I've created the list in alphabetical order and the Avatar may differ from Squidoo to Tagfoot.

Scavenger

This is the latest available badge on Tagfoot.

A "scavanger" is a tagfoot member that scours the web looking for the most awesome stuff to add to tagfoot. You want to follow these dudes and dudettes.

How do you become a Scavenger?

Find cool stuff, add it to tagfoot, and show us why you deserve to wear the badge. Write "support" a PM pleading your case and you never know. Good luck.

Learning the ins and outs of a new group such as TagFoot can be confusing. You did a great job of breaking everything down in bite size pieces and made TagFoot easy to understand.

Funny how the same great people keep showing up on site after site. I really enjoy Tagfoot, but often don't have time to go back and chat. I know I'm behind on a lot of great stuff being shared and missing the discussions. But I've got to sleep sometime, and I have to work more than I'd like. But when I find a site I need to bookmark, into Tagfoot it goes. The list makes my head swim because so much of it sounds new. Makes me wish I were 30 again. This will all take time.

What a great lens with all the information one could need about TagFoot, which I knew nothing about until I discovered it on different lenses. Should always know to find out about anything worth finding out about---always check Squidoo!

Who knew that to continue in the socialness area they had to have their feet tagged. Being Social is hard on the body! Can't wait to join for myself, but first wanted to drop a note of thanks for explaining it so well. 5 tags on your feet, a couple of lens rolls and a fave. Now I am off to tag my own feet.
