I'll share a story about my experience with Tai Chi and Qigong that'll save you time and perhaps even some money.
A beginners Tai Chi class can last as little as 15 minutes more or less. But most Tai Chi classes are usually lasting closer to one hour. You can get benefit from doing a Chi Practice for just 15 minutes. Online or Offline it does not matter Tai Chi and Qigong can be learned anywhere with no special gear.
The real advantage to learning directly from a teacher is when you're getting one-on-one attention but learning Tai Chi in a class of 10-20 can be an excellent way to get a good start. Tai Chi is a easy simple technique that anybody can learn and do. As you may guess higher levels are available and you may want that one on one instruction when you're ready.
If you take a Tai Chi class you'll be getting so very many benefits including:
Boosting immunity
Increase oxygen intake
Improve your balance
Lower your blood pressure
Balancing mood swings
Improve physical performance
Massage of internal organs
Gentle stretch of the body
Life extension, longevity
Reduce physical pain

Tai means the large, great or supreme. Chi is defined as the big life force, Think: deepest life energy.
Some practice Tai Chi as a martial art developing several levels of consciousness. Tai Chi has roots in Taoist Philosophy, and can be very beneficial to your overall good health.
Tai Chi is a comprehensive series of gentle physical movements and breathing techniques. This art is done with mental and physical intent, which allows you to experience a meditative state. It is calming and rejuvenating, and assists the body and mind to maintain balance. Tai Chi also exercises the body, mind and spirit, together with the internal organs. It includes both the inner and outer expressions of the body and mind. Here we are able to balance the Yin and Yang life force energy of Chi.

Best times for Class: near to sunset or sunrise have special benefit but are not necessary.
Your Tai Chi class will move at your own rate. All you need is to show up and enjoy.
You need no equipment or special clothes except you'll get a big advantage wearing comfortable clothes, shoes, and do show up for class early, never be in a rush allow plenty of time. Doing Tai Chi practice is an investment in your physical and mental health and wellness and can yield interest, Better even, compound interest for your overall good health.
