Spinning cloth and thread and sometimes magic, tailors hold a special place near and dear to casters everywhere in the World of Warcraft. From cloth sets to threads, bags, carpets, and more, tailors can get a caster outfitted and ready to tackle many of the challenges in front of them.

Cloth, Cloth, Cloth, And Did I Say Cloth?
Tailoring is about manufacturing from a dropped resource. The good news is that cloth is both the most commonly dropped resource in the game as well as a very heavily traded commodity, so it's pretty easy to find it in good supply.
The trick usually comes at higher levels, where you need more specialized materials like motes, primals, felcloth, mooncloth, and other things that time time to transmute or make. The rewards however are very worth it as any caster who doesn't make it into the top of a raid group will need somebody to replace their old armor. Not to mention the bags that tailors sell are the best in the game.

Making Gold With Tailoring
Haggling Like You Mean It
Making money with tailoring requires a little patience at the lower levels. Until you get up there, plan on just making armor and things to level up, disenchant, whatever. Bags will still sell and if you're a caster, you can replace some stuff in a pinch. When you hit the major leagues however, your efforts will pay off big time as many high level players need armor, specialized bags, and spellthreads.
