My most recent inexpensive luxury cruise ship vacation was a short little trip to Victoria Island, BC from Seattle. It was four nights. My wife and I went with four of our friends. We spent the days relaxing, the evening eating fine meals and enjoying the entertainment. Our cost? A mere $350.00 a piece. That's less than $100.00 per night.

I found several cruises that can be got for between $119.00 and $1299.00. These are for cruises that go from three to five nights. That means, on day one, you enter the ship and begin relaxing and then on day six, you exit, refreshed. If you are taking a four day cruise and it costs $119.00 per person and there are two of you, you will be spending $59.50 per night for the cruise.

Inexpensive Cruise Vacations: Why do the prices vary so much?

There are four types of staterooms:
1) Inside statemroom
2) Ocean view stateroom
3) Balcony stateroom
4) Suite
The very lowest price will usually be either both the inside and ocean view cabins or the inside cabin. Inside cabins generally don't have windows. Sometimes the difference between an inside cabin and an ocean view cabin is small, so you will opt for that. After you purchase your room, it is possible to upgrade for free. But don't buy a room based on that. Buy with what you are going to be happy with and upgrade if you can.
