Tampa, Florida, is a city with lots to see and do. As photographers we visit Tampa several times a year to work. The zoo has an extensive collection of wild animals. There are several interesting museums including The Tampa Museum of Art, seen in our picture, and the Museum of Science and Industry.
Busch gardens have wild animals and wilder amusement rides. The beaches at St. Petersburg are nearby and very popular. Gasparilla is an entertaining Pirate festival every year and an exhausting marathon race, too. Plus professional hockey, baseball, and football teams for sports fans.

Sun and sand at Fort De Soto Beach in Fort De Soto Park, Tampa, Florida.
Fort De Soto park is 1136 acres made up of five interconnected islands on the Gulf of Mexico. Here you see people in the surf and a man on the beach feeding sea gulls when we were last there. The beach has fine white sugar sandl North Beach here was, rated #1 beach in America by TripAdvisor.com, 2008.
Fort De Soto county park has fine beaches, fishing, nature trails, camping, boating, and much more. Fort De Soto Beach has its own website: http://www.fortdesoto.com/ .
Lowry Park Zoo entrance, Tampa, on our last visit.
We have worked at the zoo for our children's book photo buyers who needed animal pictures. Lowry Park Zoo has several active animal breeding programs that result in baby animals to exhibit at the zoo. It is a well laid out facility and the animals have clean, enriched areas in which to live.
