Tamron Camera Lens give you many options to choose from.

Which Tamron Lens Is Right For You?

Before you decide which Tamron Lens is right for you, there are some important points to consider.

Most digital SLR cameras come with the standard "normal zoom" lens. Usually it's an 18-55mm or 18-45mm. These are moderate speed, usually around f/3.5 at the wide-angle setting and f/5.6 at the telephoto end. These are great general-purpose lenses for getting started, but they can't do everything. They don't let you zoom long enough to capture most sports action or wildlife subjects. And they don't provide fast apertures in the f/1.4 to f/2.8 range that you may need when shooting non-flash pictures in low light.

So, okay you want to get more professional in your photography, which focal-length ranges will give you the maximum picture-taking bang for your buck?

As for the telephoto side of things, a Tamron Lens 18-200mm is an excellent choice, since it provides the equivalent of a 28-300mm in 35mm. This more of a "universal lens" and has the advantage of allowing you to leave the lens on the camera to minimize the possibility of getting dust when you change lenses-this can really mess with your pictures.

A long-range zoom lens like an 18-200 is great but its aperture is usually fairly small (f/6.3 or so) at the 200mm setting. Getting a Tamron Lens 180mm f/3.5 macro lens would solve that and would provide a telephoto setting (270mm in 35mm terms) plus the ability to focus down to 1:1 (life-size). Also the fast Tamron Macro Lens 90mm f/2.8 is another good choice that will also get down to 1:1 and is also great for portraiture.

Then there are the wide angle lens to choose from. If you like to take landscapes and inside shots, consider the Tamron Lens 11-18mm zoom. If you need something a little less cost and still pretty wide consider the 10-24mm Tamron Lens.

Getting the lens you need really depends on what type of photography you want ot focus on. ;-) Tamron has a great selection of lenses that will fit any need, for both the amerture and the professional photographer.
