I know that sometimes simply finding the time to tan is hard enough without a lengthy preparation, but if you have the time to do it all - the results are worth it!Start by taking a shower with an exfoliator - this will remove dead skin and uneven oils that will help the lotion go on more evenly and absorb into your skin faster. Then you want to apply the lotion (yes, about 30 minutes before tanning) in a circular motion all over. Wait until the lotion has absorbed enough that your skin is not tacky. Then dress in loose fitting clothing to go tan.
As soon as you are out of the tanning bed, apply a good quality after tanning moisturizer - this is a huge plus for maximum results. If you like to shower after tanning, wait about 90 minutes and re-moisturize.
