Tanzanite
Tanzanite comes in a range of blues, violets, lilacs and purples. Discovered by a Masai tribesman in 1967 at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro there cannot be another gem with a more romantic history.
The first western jewellers to create Tanzanite jewelry were the famous and ultra-fashionable Tiffany & Co. in New York.
Tanzanite is rare and growing rarer by the moment, its range of wonderful colors, clarity and cuts lends itself to prominent display. Fashionable drop earrings and earrings accentuate Tanzanite to the fullest but most popular are the large carat sized solitaire rings which show off its scintillating colors to full effect.
