Blogging for targeted website traffic - does it really work? If you have ever used a blog then you understand how powerful they can be in building relationships. And building relationships is key to getting and keeping the leads who visit your blog or website.What can you blog about?
If you are a Network Marketer, you could talk to your audience about a great website you found that offers tools for the trade or a good book you just read. Offer your audience value first. Build the same relationship with them on-line as you would off-line. Share your experiences. Perhaps you had a bad experience with a networking company and wanted to keep others from falling into the same pitfalls that you encountered.
The key is to share your experiences so your audience can relate to you and they keep coming back for more. Offer them valuable information that they can use in their business or personal life. Now when they click on your website, they are much more likely to stay and look around.
Target the niche market you are going after and you will attract like-minded people to you. After all, that is what you are after, isn't it? Those are the people you want visiting your website or joining your business. Throwing random ads out there that cost a pretty penny but target no-one is a waste of time and can be very expensive.
How do I get traffic to my website from my blog?
You can generate targeted leads by building a link or links to your website within the blog.
Make the links natural and appropriate. Don't just scatter them throughout your content where they do not fit or belong. The link should be a part of the content, not an appendage. Lead people up to it by mentioning a special offer or promotion on your site.
When your prospects click on the link that drives them to your website, give them a reason to want to stay there and look around. Make sure your website has a place where you can capture their information, like a newsletter subscription or a free offer. Once they have gone through this process, they are much more likely to become your prospect because they have a built a relationship with you through several mediums; starting with your blog. Permission based networking - novel concept, isn't it? Prospects giving you permission to contact them, not the other way around. They actually WANT what you have to offer.
Why not get in on the wave? If you are a Network Marketer still stuck in the old way of cold calling prospects and paying for leads, wouldn't it make sense to start using these newer methods now? Pounding the pavement is not very time efficient and doesn't target the market you are after - it is old school networking.

Gravitational Pull - Like a big bowl of ice cream with toppings and whipped cream, we gravitate towards things that are attractive to us.This is human nature. People will gravitate towards those people (or things) who/that they are attracted to; whether physically, mentally or emotionally.
So what does this have to do with your Network Marketing business? Simple. It is all about one thing.
Attraction Marketing
Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the last 6 months, you probably have heard the word in Network Marketing circles.
So what exactly is Attraction Marketing and how does it work?
Well, the concept of Attraction Marketing is really nothing new in our industry. It is about attracting prospects to you in your business. You know, building a warm market.
But...there is a major difference in the methodology used in the new model of Attraction Marketing vs. the Old School Methods of "Attraction".
Let's examine both and see if you can find the differences.
New School Methods Utilizing Attraction Marketing
1. Attract Prospects to You; prospects that want and need what you have to offer. (Get your prospects to come to you first - how?)
2. Build a relationship with your prospects through your web of content. (Essentially building a warm-market relationship on-line through your content).
3. Offer them Value first, Opportunity; (or GIVE as they say in the biz); second.
4. People give you PERMISSION to contact them first.
Gravitational Pull - people gravitate towards you and what you have to offer.
Old School Methods
1. Go out and find prospects everywhere. In the grocery store, in the mall, at your kid's soccer games, in a restaurant...starting to get the picture. EVERYONE is a prospect. The old 3 foot rule. Talk to everyone about your opportunity or products. At least 10/day whether they want to hear what you have to say or not.
2. Build a relationship with your warm market (Attend every meeting you can in your community; accost every person there about your business or opportunity; leave business cards like napkins laying around and eventually someone will contact you - or; your can keep calling them until they block your number).
3. Opportunity FIRST, everything else second.
Now, maybe you are not a rocket scientist, but you may have a little more clarity as to which method you think would work best for attracting leads.
Ready? Go ahead and vote.....NEW SCHOOL you say?
Right! You are the winner!
Attraction Marketing is the wave of the future in Network Marketing and is being used throughout the internet to attract prospects just like yourself.
With Attraction Marketing, you build a web of content on the internet. You create content that is targeted to your market; not anyone or everyone that happens to stumble upon it; but real, quality leads.
You GIVE them value. Information that they will find useful in their business. Something that they can hang their hat on without asking for something in return. Build a relationship with them on-line. Build trust and respect.
Let them get to know who you are through your content and the many social sites out there, like Twitter and Facebook. Build a lead capture page where you can capture their information so you will have them in your pipeline. By doing this, they have given you permission to contact them; not the other way around.
Build this trust you will earn their respect. They will see you as someone who is a leader in your field. They will listen to what you have to say. They will gravitate towards you; not away from you.
Once and ONLY after you have spent time cultivating this relationship can you begin to let them know about your opportunity. Most of the time, people will come to you first in this model of Attraction.
You have essentially attracted targeted leads to you through this method. Not the other way around.
No more chasing, dragging, hitting people over the head and begging them to look at your opportunity. Not necessary.
Uitilizing the methods of Attraction Marketing, people will want what you have to offer. Why?
They are targeted leads that basically have given you permmission to contact them. They want and need what you have and they actually look forward to hearing from you because you offer VALUE.
Big difference huh? No more parting of the seas when you walk into a room. No more hiding in closets to avoid having to talk with you for fear you are going to "throw up" all over them about your business opportunity. No more visits to the psychologists wondering why everyone runs in the other direction when they see you.
No. Now people will actually want to listen to you. You will get quality, targeted leads in your pipeline. You will have many people now to talk with, rather than 3 or 4 who really don't want to hear from you. This will put you in a position of strength and will enable you to be in control.
You can pick and choose who you want in your business. WOW! This sounds too good to be true, doesn't it?
Well, it works and if you haven't started doing it yet, you need to get started asap. Old school methods are a dying breed.
You can continue on the path you are on or you can become part of a new and exciting trend in the industry.
