Tarot card reading is thought to have gotten its start back in the 15th Century in and around Northern Italy. However, the origin probably dates back to the 1100's from Arabic or Islamic Spain. A normal deck contains 78 cards. There are two major types of cards within the deck which are known as the major arcana and minor arcana cards.
