Tate Family Reunion

Our Tate Family gets together every other year for Our Tate Family Reunion.  This began in 2000 and each year we held the reunion in a different location and each year our family reunion has been very enjoyable.  We have met in Athens, Ga; Chattanooga, Tenn; Helen, Ga; Charleston SC; and Nashville, Tenn.   Our 2010 Tate Family Reunion was in Pendleton South Carolina and we enjoyed being "Together Again In 2010"!

NOTE to Reunion Attendees: Unfortunately, the Reunion Committee has had to announce that there will not be a Tate Family Reunion in 2012. Hopefully, some of our young folks will re-organize and get our reunions going again. Thanks. It's been wonderful and we sure made lots of great memories!

NOTE To Visitors to Our Tate Family Reunion Official Webpage - Thank you for visiting.  Hope you enjoy seeing how our family plans our Reunions. Please sign our guestbook below and tell us about your Reunions..

Ramada Inn in Clemson SC

Our Tate Family Reunion Headquarters

Pendleton is a small, historic town with no hotel so we stayed at the Ramada Inn in Clemson which is less than 4 miles from Pendleton. The Ramada Inn was a great choice and everyone there was so nice. We especially want to thank Brittany, Rhonda and Marion. They worked so hard to make sure that we were well taken care of and we sure appreciated everything they did to help make our 2010 Tate Family Reunion such a fun success!

Click this link to the Ramada Inn to learn more about our chosen hotel for the 2010 Tate Family Reunion.

Friday's Schedule

Everyone arrived safely in Clemson SC for the 2010 Tate Family Reunion

Friday we began our Tate Family Reunion with a Welcome by our Master of Ceremonies, Matt Day and our Director in Name Only (DINO) Betty Delorme. Announcements and a briefing followed as well as the traditional visit from the Welcome Lady and her son, Billy Bob Bubba Joe Forrester III. We had supper at Rockhoppers Restaurant right down the hall from our Hospitality Room at the Ramada Inn. Everyone ordered what they wanted from the menu and were in charge of their own bill. Rockhoppers offers a wide variety to choose from. The Ramada Inn Clemson website describes Rockhoppers:"Rockhopper's is a family restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere and great food, quick and friendly service and affordable prices. All meals are homemade and guaranteed fresh."

Kate Loving Shenk aka Mukunda22 Joined The Tate Family Reunion

Joan4 and Mukunda22 have been online friends for a couple of years and enjoyed meeting face to face for the first time.

Tate Girls and Kate at 1826 On The Green with SquidLou

Kate was given the title of an "UnTate". An UnTate is an invited Guest of the Tate Family. Kate flew in from Pennsylvania and enjoyed her first trip to the South. We had made a SquidLou for her to take along with her on her adventures. SquidLou represented all of our Squidoo friends and joined right in all of the festivities.

Kate, Joan, and Betty arrived in Pendleton early enough to enjoy a special Tates and Kate lunch at 1826 On The Green.

    Emily Melea is my

Emily Melea is my great-great-great-great grandmother on my mothers side. I loved to see everything that you and your famiy have done to celebrate and remember all that came before us. In the surrounding area of Pendleton you will find many Tate family members still. They may not have the Tate name but, trust me the name is not forgotten.

I am a sales manager at Embassy Suites Golf Resort & Conference Center in Greenville, SC, and came across your webpage while doing a google search of family reunions. We'd love to have the Tates consider Greenville for 2012 and I'd be happy to speak with a family representative about what we have to offer. You can reach me via email at katie.clark@jqh.com or 864-678-7115.

This time around we are having a reunion in SC. Visiting the old homestead, cemetary and planning a family talent show and genealogy presentation. Now that I make a living helping others plan special occassions I am literally bursting at the seams with ideas.
