Your Tattoo Removal Options
Having a tattoo you no longer want is an annoying experience. Whether it's something that just looks dumb now (bad tribal) or doesn't interest you anymore (motorcycles - see picture!) or refers to your wife - er, ex-wife (always a bad tattoo) - yep, there it is, and what can you do about it?
Well, the truth is there are options, but there's really only a few options and all of them cost decent money.
That being said, if you can pull it off it's worth it to spend the money rather than looking foolish or always wearing long sleeves like some drug addict hiding needle marks.
Let's take a look at some common options for tattoo removal!

Let's take a look at some common options for tattoo removal!
Laser Tattoo Removal
The use of lasers to break down a tattoo is a well established practice. By targeting an intense laser beam directly at the ink, the ink is broken into little bits, of which the body just does away with on its own. Over repeated treatments, this can remove a tattoo.
Somethings you should know about laser treatments for tattoos:
It hurts. But hey, you made it through the tattoo the first time around right? You'll be fine on the way out then.
It can cost thousands of dollars. Treatment is never done all at once - tattoos must be broken down over multiple sessions, piece by piece. This means the bigger your tattoo and the more inks used, the more treatments it will take, and the more money it will cost. This is not a reason NOT to do it, it's just something you should be aware of.
Some peoples body's reject the laser treatment. Some body's have a strange reaction to the use of lasers and can't do this type of treatment. Luckily, if that's you, you have other options as described below.

Tattoo Removal Creams
The last few years has seen a lot of fuss about what are called tattoo removal creams. These are sometimes described as gels or lotions too, and alternatively referred to as a fade kit, sort of "get out of jail free card" for the companies when someones tattoo only fades and isn't removed. The reaction people have to these products is mixed. Many people claim success - yes, it totally works - and other say - nope, it's a scam.
My guess is you'll do best with smaller, crappy tattoos, such as something your friend did 20 years ago.
If you're curious to try this method, note you'll need to buy a kit with many treatments. The most popular is called Wrecking Balm Tattoo Removal Cream.
The Rejuvi Method
The use of rejuvi for skin treatments is well established. Recently, some researchers proved it can be used to remove tattoos too!
This is an excitement, sort of new treatment that a lot people don't know about. It's a lot like getting a tattoo, in that you'll see there and have someone go over your tattoo with a needle-like device that actually inserts rejuvi cream into your skin. It bonds with the tattoo ink before the body says "Hey, there is a foreign object in my skin! get it out!" and later, scabs it up, taking a bit of unwanted ink with it.
Like laser treatment, it's painful and can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Consider Something Totally Different...
I always like to throw it out there for people to chew on:
if you're going to spend time, money, and experience pain to remove a tattoo, you could just instead do the same but get a new tattoo.
I'm talking about a cover-up tattoo!
Now it won't work for everyone, but there's a good chance your f'ugly tattoo can be transformed into something you'll love. For more info on how this works, you'd have to consult with a tattoo artist and have them look at your tattoo.
Something to consider! :)
