Taylor 914CE For Sale - Your dream guitar?
I have two second hand Taylor 900 Series guitars for sale in the UK. Both are 914ce's and are in perfect condition - one 2001 model (£2,225 ono), and one 2007 model (£2,550 ono). Almost the only high-end used Taylor guitars in the UK anywhere.

The main difference is that the 2007 model has Taylor's unique Expression System pickup in place; whereas the 2001 model is fitted with the highly versatile Fishman Prefix Stereo Blender. Both include the original Taylor Hardshell case.

Where Should I Look?
Finding a used Taylor 914-ce for sale anywhere is quite a challenge these days.
Understandably, many retailers carrying the Taylor range are focusing on the newer Taylor acoustic GS series (no pickup), the Thinline T5 or the exciting SolidBody models just announced. These are sure to bring Taylor and their dealers many new customers.
But for the acoustic-electric guitar of your dreams, in my opinion, nothing beats the Taylor 914ce for a combination of striking sound, elegant design, built with exquisite woods and finish, along with outstanding intonation and playability thanks to excellent engineering in both design and manufacture. The 914 takes the solid quality of the Taylor 814ce, and takes it to a new level of finesse, beauty, and tonal intrigue.
Google a Taylor Guitar?
A quick search on Google for "Taylor 914ce for sale" throws up www.fretnotguitarrepair.com at #1 position. This is mainly a repair site, but their sales page links through to Musician's Friend - one of the largest online retailers in the USA. Same company as Guitar Center, I understand.
In second place is the 1dmom.com site - a bit of an odd-ball really, since it says its a site about "Effective Web2.0 Marketing". The answer lies here: DMO Marketing are using my 914ce guitars as a case study in Web2.0 marketing, are currently hosting access to my guitar photos gallery on Flickr.
Go there and buy (at least) one of the used Taylor guitars!!
The third listing is interesting - nextag.com - which is a price comparison site, and includes pricing and stock status from most of the big US dealers like zZounds, MusiciansFriend, Music123, SameDayMusic, Guitar Center, etc. Maybe not a surprise, given Taylor's tight market controls, but all show the same $3999 price tag! Prices exclude taxes and shipping costs, so either enter your zip code and use Nextag's calculator, or add 10-15% to be safe.
You can see another very useful piece of info here - the "Seller Ratings". Nextag.com build this rating from buyer feedback. There is one company - zZounds.com - way ahead of the rest, with 128 Seller Reviews. (The next nearest has only 47 Seller Reviews.) zZounds is the only vendor listed here who has earned Nextag's "Trusted Seller" rating, which means they've met a set of quality criteria defined by Nextag.com.
Very helpful, if you want the best buying experience, as well as find great prices.
