Sound Healing works on the principle of Resonance: every object is in a state of vibration. This includes human muscles, organs and bones, etc. When these parts of the body are vibrating at their normal healthy frequency, a person experiences health. If a part of the body vibrates at a frequency that is not harmonious with the rest of the body, this is disease. It is possible to use sound to project the correct resonance back into the body, causing the return of the natural frequency and health.

When healing one-on-one the bowls are placed on the body on the charkas and under the feet and over the head. Thus the entire body is vibrated.
Marsha offers group meditations as well, on a regular basis. The difference is that concerts are done in a group and also the bowls are not in contact with the charkas so you get the sound but not the direct vibration on the body.

More About Vibrational Healing With Tibetan Bowls
The ancient Himalayan cultures created these mysterious and enigmatic instruments known as Tibetan Bowls for the purpose of inducing physical healing, spiritual consciousness and mental clarity. These Buddhist creations are an alchemy of metal and sacred geometry known today as Singing Bowls. Their vibrational signature sounds produce overtones that heal the hearts of sentient beings. Their songs alter space, mind and time to awaken and nudge cellular memory into it's natural blissful state.The wave pattern produced by the bowls is equivalent to the alpha waves produced by the brain. These bowls, in particular, instill a sense of deep relaxation and inner space opening up. The very act of listening effectively STOPS the ego's internal dialog, the 'Monkey Mind', inducing a dynamic centering meditation or a trance state.
An ancient Tibetan Bowl is made from a consecrated metal alloy that produces five individual, simultaneous tones of consistent frequency; each a vibrational dance of harmonics. Their sound synchronizes the six regions of the brain and creates a therapeutic effect upon the mind/body. Each Bowl was consciously created by monks for use as a guide in Tantric rituals, astro-traveling, awakening consciousness, and physical, mental, spiritual healing.
The alloy is composed of silver, gold, mercury, tin, lead, copper and iron; each associated with particular planets and their respective characteristics. During this process sacred Mantras, (venerated formulas that embody powerful energies), were sung to infuse altruistic intent into each Bowl.
In India there is a yoga practice of sound, the point of which is to discern the subtle "SHABD", the sacred sound that underpins existence. In turns out that this phenomenon has been mapped by physicists who reckon the entire universe is built on a sound wave 50 octaves below human-hearing levels.

She holds a Masters degree in Psychology. She has also studied at the Australasian College of Herbal Studies, Crestone Healing Arts Center and the Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education.

World Sound Healing Day Is Hosted Every February 14th
2012 Will be the Tenth Annual Sound Healing Day
On World Sound Healing Day, sound healers, meditators, peace activists and lovers of all humanity and sentient consciousness send a Sonic Valentine to the Earth with the intention of Peace and Love!
We will start out with a Tibetan Bowls meditation, then after 55 minutes for 5 minutes we will join thousands of people throughout the planet as they tone an "AH", projecting the energy of Light & Love throughout the Planet. So call 303 755-2669 to get the address for this bowls concert and intentional healing event. I would appreciate a call so I know how many people to expect - the current place is small and I may need to find a larger venue next time.
This is an opportunity in which YOU can take part to assist Global Harmonization--the process of creating harmony and peace on the Earth. Your participation and co-creation of this event is both appreciated as well as being necessary for World Sound Healing Day to manifest.
