Creative Gifts for a Teacher

Teachers give us and our children so much every day. Teachers work extremely hard, and at a very critical job, teaching our children. When it comes time to give them a small token of appreciation, it is difficult to come up with teacher gift ideas.

Gifts for a teacher need to be special, something personal just for them. But with at least 1 or 2 teachers for each child, gifts for a teacher can get expensive. So what is needed are teacher gift ideas that can be personalized without being too expensive.

How fortunate that there are print on-demand companies that we can order from online, and get items personalized quickly and efficiently. My personal favorite is Zazzle, which you can upload your own artwork, or use the templates made by numerous artists from all over the world to pick out just the right gift for your child's teachers.

This lens gives you some great starting places, but you can follow any link from here to more ideas on Zazzle. Each gift item can be personalized with a note from your child or the teacher's or school's name. Whatever you choose! It is fun and satisfying to give such creative gifts for a teacher.

The most reader friendly text in its field, the eighth edition presents a comprehensive overview of education in America. It provides in-depth commentary on educational history, philosophy, and governance, while giving special attention to current critical topics such as student diversity, standards and testing. New to this edition is a broader coverage of different kinds of diversities, with a new Chapter 3 focusing on multicultural education and group diversity. Chapter 2 is now focused on different ways of learning, with new sections on how gender relates to learning styles and on GLBT students; additionally, coverage of different groups (formerly in Chapter 12: The Struggle for Educational Opportunity) is now integrated throughout the text. Also new to this edition is an integration of the most recent uses of technology in the classroom, allowing readers to consider the influence of technology alongside the topic at hand whether it be curricular issues, learner diversity, or teacher effectiveness. . . For the Instructor, Sadker is accompanied by a new Instructor Resource, PrepCenter. PrepCenter is the when-ever, where-ever, how-ever approach to creating a more engaging classroom experience every time you step in front of your class. Good ideas! I used to teach preschool, but now I teach at home. Gifts that a teacher can use (like a mousepad) and student-made items are the best!

Great ideas! I usually get given chocolates, flowers or the occasional teddy bear. They're always welcome of course but hand made cards by the children are my favourites ;)
