Tea has been a popular and cherished drink for centuries, so it comes to no surprise that a tea gift basket is such a popular and wonderful gift for just about any occasion!

Finding just the right source that has that perfect tea gift basket you've been searching for can sometimes be a daunting task...I mean there are so many! It took me some time before I found that perfect hidden online shop not just for my tea gift basket, but for tea as well! I now only purchase all my tea and tea accessories through this little gem!

Different Kinds of Tea Gift Basket's & Where To Find Them

A tea gift basket is a wonderful and unique gift and one of my personal favorites. However finding that perfect source for a tea gift basket and then picking just the right package for the occasion can sometimes be a pain. I've gone thru this scenario many times, so I'm going to try and help you as best as I can!

There are many different online stores and shops that can provide different tea assortments for gifts, and believe it or not, I've tried just about all them over the years. My favorite source for all my tea and tea accessory needs is Adagio Teas. I've been using them for over 2 years and I have yet to have a single problem with them...that and the fact that their tea and tea gift baskets are to die for!

While they offer many different kinds of tea and tea accessories that you'll want to check later, lets look at their tea gift basket set's:

Adagio Tea's has 5 different gift baskets:

Gourmet Tea's gift basket is the most basic of their tea gift packages. It contains both Green Pekoe tea and English Breakfast tea at 15 bags each. The price for this gift basket is only $9 so it's a great bargain if you're looking for something nice but small.

The Blooming Tea's gift basket is one of my favorite! Blooming tea's are blooms of tea sewed together by hand and bloom when put into water, making the tea taste and smell amazing! With two flavours of Red Bloom & Black Tea Bloom at only $15...it really makes a great gift!

The next tea gift basket in the line up is The Ingenious Teapot & Tea's gift basket set. This is one of the best as it comes with its very own and very cool teapot, four different samples of their gourmet tea's and a guide to tea handbook. At only $19, it's a very attractive gift basket!

Remember that every gift package comes with it's own very special gift wrapping and packaging, and comes out looking very elegant and snazzy!

So I promised that I would show the rest of Adagio Tea's gift baskets, so here it is!

The next gift basket up is the Glass Teapot & Tea's Gift Basket. It's comprises of a glass teapot (very elegant if I might add) with high tech metal infuser for brewing, and four different samples of their best loose teas. The tea's include; Apricot Green, Assam Melody, Rooibos, and White Peach. Some of my favorite if I might add! This gift basket is a great middle level tea gift basket set, and at only $29...it's still a steal!

The last but surely not least tea gift basket is the Six Months of Tea basket. This basket is without question my all time favorite, and for very good reason. Just as the name suggests, the recipient of this tea gift basket actually does receive 6 months worth of tea which is delivered in two canisters (there's a lot of tea in these) once every other month. You can choose which tea's they like best to and have two different kinds of tea's come in for delivery to their door, so you can virtually try all their best tea's! This gift basket is $49 and in case you were wondering, you only pay for shipping ONCE! So need to worry about paying shipping fee's every time.

NOTE: I highly recommend that you also include their IngenuiTEA Teapot into this gift basket. It's a very neat brewing system and always seems to help bring out more flavor from the tea, I've noticed this every time I use it. It's only $19 and they can even gift wrap it too.

5 different tea gift baskets sometimes don't seem enough for people, and I thought that same way too. However, trust me when I say that for the quality, cost and service, you simply can not beat their tea's much less their gifts.

OK...

So now you have the perfect selection and array of both tea gift baskets and tea accessories, so how do you go about picking just the right one for just the right occasion?

As luck might have it, this is the most easy part of the entire process, so here are some basic pointers to follow by:

The first thing to remember is that any type of gift is an easy one to pick, just keep the recipients best interests in mind. When it comes to that perfect tea gift basket or assortment, try and pick the flavor of tea that best matches their tastes or personality. This really is a very easy thing to do, just think of what they like or just ask them...just don't give away the gift idea ;)

Make sure that you pick the right tea gift basket for the right person. In other words, don't get the Six Months of Tea gift basket if they only drink tea once a month, the smaller packages will suite them just fine and still put a smile on their face.

In some cases, you simply can't find the perfect flavor for that certain someone, or maybe you just can't figure out what they'll want or need most. Thankfully, this is the reason that gift cards exist! If you don't know, purchase a gift card and send it on their way. Often times, this is the most thoughtful gift, and they'll love you for it since now they get to choose exactly what they want!

NOTE: When giving a gift card as a gift, make sure that you don't put too small of an amount on the card. When you factor in shipping (which is very small) and you only put $10 on the card, they're left with almost nothing to work with. The rule of thumb is to stick to no less then $25.

Stick to these very easy and rather basic guidelines, and I promise you that you can't go wrong picking out that perfect tea gift for that special person!

Is Tea Healthy?

Part 1

Well in short YES! But what does research have to say about this?

Just recently studies from the top leading medical journals, institutions, and universities have put tea in a class by itself, saying that tea contains the potential to help prevent cancer, heart disease, stimulate the immune system, help weight lose, help arthritis pain, and to add to the list, lower your cholesterol.

Whoa...that's a lot of benefits! Very good for something that you just drink and takes a full 5 min to prepare!

In fact, tea has been found to be such an amazing benefit to one's health, that it has lead many to declare it as the most effective and potent health drink ever and that just might be very true.

So how does tea actually help improve you're health and benefit you?

For one, tea helps maintain healthy arteries and repair them. Regular consumption of black tea has been found to help prevent fatal clogging of the arteries and helps treat poor functioning of the arteries that can lead to strokes and heart attacks. One study that was conducted in the Netherlands found that men who drank three cups of tea a day were up to 50% less likely to die of a heart disease condition or a stroke or heart attack from clogged arteries, then those who consumed no black tea at all.

This amazing benefit can be credited to the "catechins" that are found in both black and green tea a natural antioxidant.

Another amazing study finds that not only greatly reduces the risk of cancer, but helps fight and inhibits the growth of cancer cells. This however is not a recent discovery, and tea has been linked to lower the risks of many different kinds of cancer such as breast cancer, colon and stomach cancer to just name a few. Now however, studies have found very strong evidence that the chemicals contained in tea can actually stop the growth of new cancers cells. Not bad at all huh?

Ok ok...enough about just the nitty gritty health stuff.I can hear the people who want to hear about the wait lose already.

So can tea actually help you lose weight?

You bet your flabby behind it can! While it may be surprising to some, it is nothing new to researchers who have found that green tea's natural antioxidant EGCG actually helps stimulate your body to burn off excess calories and fat. A Swiss study found that a daily dose of at least 270mg of EGCG or the amount you'll find in 3 cups of green tea caused men to burn off a little over 4% more energy that lead to an extra 80 calories being burned off. The most surprising find of this study however was that green tea did not burn off more calories because of an increase in heart rate from caffeine! Pretty gnarly stuff huh?

Are they're more health benefits to tea then this? Of course there are...plenty! This amazing drink that we call tea doesn't just stop right there.

Since I promised to let you in on more of the different kinds of health benefits of tea (both black and green), let's start right where we left off!

Tea has also been found by researchers to calm and greatly reduce both heavy and light cases of inflammation. Yes%u2026.you did hear it just right! Researchers at the Case Western Reserve University gave tea (in mice doses) to mice that have already developed or are in the process of developing arthritis. The mice were given either green tea, while others were given just plain water. They were given the equivalent of 4 cups of green tea by human standards. What was the result of this test? The mice that were given the green tea were half as likely to develop arthritis, and the ones who already were stricken with arthritis experienced more freedom of movement and a dramatic decrease in inflammation. How did this happen you might be asking yourself? Well, the compound TF-2 which is found in both black and green tea in great doses has been recently discovered to not only be an anti-cancer agent but also ends up suppressing the Cox-2 gene that causes inflammation or swelling. Another very interesting study out of China shows 600 men and women that drank green tea on a daily basis at 3-4 cups a day halved their risk of stomach inflammation and ulcers.

Pretty Amazing huh?!?!
