PHILADELPHIA, April 10, 2009 - Across the nation on April 15, over 1500 tea party rallies will take place where advocates of the free-market system can join in a protest against out of control government spending. To assist this grassroots effort, a mobile petition will be made available at each tea party for citizens to make their voice heard. The results from these mobile petitions will be delivered to the President, to the U.S. House and Senate and to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner's office, showing opposition in America to the Obama Administration's agenda to tax, spend and borrow America into a period of long-term economic decline.

Tea Party attendees -- by texting the words "Tea Party" to 74362 on their mobile phones -can "sign" the petition (standard message rates apply). Text messaging is the most popular cell phone feature with over 3 Billion text messages sent/received every day in the US, according to the CTIA. The average user sends over 370 text messages each month; the campaign will take advantage of this relevancy. This mobile petition, the first of its kind, allows grassroots organizers to mobilize their base and local rally. It will be the largest petition to date from concerned citizens in the United States.

Attendance at the tea parties is expected to be unprecedented. On February 27th, an estimated 30,000 Americans took to the streets in 40+ cities across the country in the first nationwide "Tea Party" protest. The next tea parties schedule for April 15 will attract an even greater number of participants. With the addition of the mobile petition, anyone regardless of attendance can be a part of sending a strong message to Washington.

Once the petitions are received, the results will be brought to governmental officials simultaneously, giving citizens the ability to take action from their cell phone via text messaging and helping the grassroots movement to go viral. When the tea parties are over, citizens can stay connected with other important issues on the national as well as local level.
