Theodore Robert Bundy aka Ted Bundy....America's Most Notorious Serial Killer
Ranked #1,251 in Culture & Society, #29,788 overall
Ted Bundy
Having grown up in his 2 of his premier murder areas (Washington and Colorado) I became highly interested in him and what made him a serial killer. Since then I have always wanted to know the answers on what causes this level of psychosis in people and I am currently a student of criminal psychology as a result.
I have read countless books on him and the people who met him and I produce this lens to provide further research for anyone of interest. This lens is loaded with information, videos and more so enjoy...or don't...what is to enjoy right?
There will not be links to inappropriate fan sites on this lens. It is strictly research and information

A Tough Question...
As a student of criminal psychology, I am of the opinion that Ted Bundy would have been valuable to be left alive for study. Mainly for the purpose of recognizing certain signals in younger people to prevent a psychotic like him from growing up in society. He was also some help in capturing the Green River Killer due to his unique point of view. Do you think he should have been kept alive or put to death as he was? Tell me what you think!
Feel free to comment as well and please respect others opinions as I find all opinions valuable!

Sadistic Minds Want To Know....Where Is Ted Bundy's VW Bug?

From the latest news I can gather, Jonathan Davis, lead vocalist of the band KoRn, owns Ted Bundy's Volkswagen Beetle.....OK he DID own Ted Bundy's bug but a recent update in February 2010 places Bundy's bug at the National Museum of Crime and Punishment in Washington, D.C.

Items found in Bundy's Bug after a 1975 arrest.

- On November 24, 1946, Eleanor Louise Cowell gave birth to Theodore Robert Cowell in a home for unwed mothers in Burlington, Vermont. His illegitimacy led his mother to make the youngster believe he was actually her brother and that his grandparents were his actual birthparents. Some, perhaps searching for some cause to Bundy's future actions, feel that Bundy's grandfather, Sam, may actually have fathered Ted out of an incestuous relationship with Eleanor. The resulting confusion was the only known possible trauma in the young boy's life.

- hello, my name is lauren. i'm sixteen years old, and i'm very interested in criminal psychology. i've already spent months researching bundy, the green river killer, john wayne gacy, as well as watching many movies and real footage of these psychopaths. i'm in year 11 and i'm currently studying english writers, i've written a story titled 'the monster inside me', a fictional story about a character named seth mcpherson, who blends in with society yet at night his murderous obsessions become habbit. i started off writing this story in the hopes that i could write ted bundys story, from his point of view, and i knew it would be hard, but i found it an interesting challange and took to it with more precision and passion than i'd ever put into anything school related. in the end though, it turned out to be my made up character, seth mcpherson, who won the battle of being the killer in my story. for a while there, i was convinced bundy shouldn't have been executed, why? because i was brain washed, i watched countless footage of him talking in a calm, soft voice about how psychopaths like himself can't help themselves and therefore it's not his fault. i got the feeling he was sorry, although he never said it, it wasn't until my bestfriend sarah, watched the same footage and felt nothing but utter hartred towards bundy. i regained the feelings i had before i'd gotten brainwashed, and although i'm so interested in psychopaths, they're good manipulators, even though he never admitted to his killings, or felt any remorse for his actions, i felt like he was sorry. and that was his tactic, to try and escape execution. bastard. they're all the same. and i believe the nature vs nurture debate has been solved because of bundy. it's nature, of course. scientists have discovered the difference between that of a normal brain, to one of a psychopaths, the difference is within the brain chemistry, all psychopaths, males, have had the unlikely chances of being bathed in testosterone whilst still a feotus, this leading to the frontal lobe of the psychopath to be different compared to one of a normal citzen. if this is the case, we as a society should be doing something to alter the brain chemisty. i'm not suggesting we'll find a cure, but it's worth a bloody shot! psychopathy is a highly studied area, scientists and neuroscientists have/are studying and trying to solve this particular case as i type, i'm sure. but i think people like me, who're so interested in this topic, should be re-ensured of this. thankyou for reading, and i'd love to hear from you.

- Very good article. I have read most of the books on Bundy and I have seen the videos where he finally admitted his crimes. I believe had it not been for a last ditch effort of a stay of execution, he would have never admitted to it even then. He was a truly sadistic individual. Your article brought up some great questions, such as should he have been kept alive for study and I think he should have but it also begs the question as to whether he would have done anything other than play games with law enforcement which is what he did most of his life.

- He had no conscience- psychopathy and psychosis are innately different. I dated a psychopath, not as bad as Ted Bundy or I wouldn't be here, but still very abusive, violent, and absolutely sick beyond repair. He was not psychotic, but a psychopath- he knew exactly what he was doing.and took great enjoyment from it.
