Loads of girls are worried or embarrassed about choosing their first bra.

Whether your mum is supportive or not, it's important that you should choose when you start wearing a bra and are happy with the style, colour and fit.

If you're starting to feel embarrassed about your budding breasts, then it's probably the right time to go out and buy that first bra. Even if you don't feel that you've got much to cover up - you can still feel self-conscious at school if everyone else is wearing a bra and you aren't yet.

Girls can start wearing bras from as young as 9 or 10, whilst others don't start to really need one until they're 15 or 16.

The most important thing is that you should feel comfortable - whatever age or size you are - if you'd feel happier wearing a bra, then it's time to grab mom and go shopping!

well i finally got the bra...not hat i have told my mum or dad yet its my first bra and im very proud ..and comfy finally something that fits altho i dint get properly fitted i was able to size myself with the help f my friendnatasha i bought it yesterday and it fits very well im so happy and proud!! i am now an 36A yaaay

Bubbles

Well, I started to get boobs at age 9 but I didn't wear a bra. Then, at the age of 11 I was a size 36A and showed really bad through my shirts without wearing a bra and my mom noticed it so she went shopping with me and she bought me a training bra. At age 12 I was complaining about how my training bra really squished my boobs so we went shopping and I got fitted for a new bra. I was a 34B! I asked my mom if I could have a cupped underwire bra and she said yes so I got a cute pink one and a cute blue one. I was sooo happy to get a bra that fitted me good.

well at the moment im i yr7 and my boobs are just big enough to fit a bra and im so tired of wearing croptops and singlets which make me feel so naked and uncomfortable and altho my friend has given me a bra to wear its still just a lil to big and i really need one of my own that fits well but im to embarasd to ask my mum since shes really english and proper and my dad laughed at me when i asked him for croptops so im really stuck and dont no what to do and i think i may try and but a bra tomorow since im going shopping with some friends but what i want to no is what do i do when i want to wash my braand mum sees it can it be avoided will she uder stand?

I got my first bra when i was 10. it was bad enough asking but then my brother had to come in the stall when i tried it on! i am a 30aa but i just got it a mounth ago i got this cute brown one and one that says "Love" on the side. i started to get boobs when i was in 3 grade it was the worst year ever!! HaHa

I got my first bra when the day before the last day of sixth grade. I was eleven. I had wanted one for ages, and had asked my mom a month before but she said I had to gain more weight. I gained weight and finally got the guts to ask her. We first went to Limited Too, but they were too expensive. Then we went to LaSenza Girl, where I got three for the price of 39 each. One was black, one white and the last one pink. I actually thought, "I'm a 'woman' today!" or basically a 'big girl'. XD Isn't that cheesy? lol

I was 10 and going into sixth grade
i was at the mall with my mom and she had nown i had been wearing tank tops under my normal shirts so people couldnt see my nipples we went into limited too and got 4 size 30a's with pads my mom knew i needit because i was going to be changing in locker rooms next year and didnt want to be the girl hiding her boobs in the bathroom stalls
