• Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist - I'm sure most of you saw the movie. The book covers one night and what a adventure packed night it is! This one night is filled with ups and downs, exactly what you would expect in the world today for a teen.
  
  The setting is initially in a night music/club scene in New York.
  
  The book focuses on the following main characters: Nick O'Leary who is the bass player for a band that he describes as queercore and Norah Silverberg who is a very odd, neurotic teenager. She is the daughter of a music industry exec. on. For both of these teenagers, music is the center of their lives.
  
  The story starts with Nick playing at a gig where he sports his ex-girlfriend with another guy. In a spontaneous moment he decides that he will try to make her jealous and decides to ask the first girl that he spots to be with him for a few minutes. Enter Norah, who knows Nick's ex, and agrees to Nick's requests as she loves the idea of the reaction that will occur from the ex.
  
  This charade serves as the springboard that takes these two teens all along the city on an exciting all-nighter that is filled with secret concerts, exes and a whole lot more. As you read the book you get the feeling that these two might defy the odds and that their relationship might actually be more than a fling.
  
  The reason this is such a great teen dating advice story is that it does a fantastic job at really capturing the moments of what the experience of a first day is really like. It captures the clumsiness and fumbling that goes around when two teens initially come together. It also has some great conversation points that really seems to fit in with the way teens speak today.
  
  The language in this book is on point and sharp and fits the whole music scene.

• An Abundance of Katherines - this is a fairly quick read and pretty easy. Great for summer reading or when you are on break on vacation and just want to lounge out. It's filled with a lot of humorous moments. This definitely doles out some great teen dating advice especially as you really get inside the thoughts of the main character, a teenage boy named Colin Singleton who is dumped yet again by who other than a girl named Katherine - in fact this is the 19th occurrence of young Colin being dumped by a female named Katherine.
  
  Dejected, Colin decided to go on a roadtrip with his buddy to see if he can come up with a formula that can predict the trajectory of any given relationship.
  
  There is some math involved but it's quite simple and there's an appendix that can help out just in case you have any problems following.
  
  The book is very witty and the characters pop out as they seem so lifelike.
