Tegan and Sara
Tegan and Sara is an Indie Rock Canadian band. The group is made of twin sisters Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Kiersten Quin. They gained some mainstream audience when some of their songs played in Grey's Anatomy. They have already produced 6 studio albums. They are militants in PETA. A few years ago, they even created their own line of vegan shoes ( in association with Macbeth shoes)

Tegan and Sara PETA endorsement
This is their second TV endorsement for PETA. They did one anti-fur ad for them a while ago.
So what's your take on Tegan and Sara endorsing PETA?
While we all agree that "modern" way of producing food is wrong, people should put their energy into something positive like promoting small chicken and eggs producers where the chicken actually goes outside.
And furs? Same, you can have humane ways of doing things. And those who buy fake furs? Thanks for polluting even more the planet. You make the petro chemical industry very happy. Leather and fur are natural. While I agree they can pollute, they do less damages than most man-made textiles.

The celebrities who associate themselves with PETA far too often feel strongly for a particular, and often reasonable, cause and see PETA as a way to push their ideas, but it's sort of like using a shotgun to scratch an itch, it does get rid of the itch...
