Do You Want to Be a Star?

In this world there are many people who have something to say, but they don't have a venue with which to get their message out.

They may be budding, or accomplished speakers, or perhaps they are amateurs with the will to communicate a message that they feel strongly about.

Do you feel passionate about something that has the potential to help your part of the world, or even the whole wide world, if only you could let people know?

Do you have something really important to say and feel you are blocked by the frustration of finding a way to get the message to the audience? And even if you are able to get radio or TV time, those generally have a limited audience. And let's face it. In many parts of the USA and other countries of the world, radio and television reception is still limited if not completely non-existent.

Have you ever dreamed, even briefly, of being a talk show host with an audience of truly unlimited capacity? Of having the opportunity to speak on your subject without fear of someone cutting out the most important part of the message.

Do you have a passion to get your message heard in a way that will do the most good? Then perhaps you should be a podcaster.

"What is a podcaster?" you may ask.

A "podcaster" is a person with a message, who creates a program which can be posted to a website as a "click and play" audio file. Then anyone in the world who has access to the internet may either click-and-listen to the program, or they may download the program to their iPod, computer, or other mp3 format player.
Sounds easy enough, right? But, let's look at the process.

If you want to create you own podcast programming you have a couple of options. You could branch out on your own, purchase the software kits, books, and numerous other equipment and support materials, struggle through the learning curve.

Even if you are a techie-type person there are many new skills to learn and master in the process. Then once you have created your programs you will need to find a venue, a way to make your podcast available for people to locate. And then you will need to announce to your friends how to access it, and find a way t get the information out to the people who need and want to hear the message.

Yes, you could do all of this, and you could get your message heard by a limited number of people, depending on how much you work to promote your program. OR you could join the new revolution in podcasting.
