Ten Things in Five Years

In just five years, I will be 70 years of age. It is time to make my dreams come true! As you scroll through this site, I hope you will be inspired to do some of the things you have always wanted to do!

I Want to Stay Healthy

As I am entering my senior years, I have become more and more aware of the state of my health. I want to stay healthy and enjoy every day. Our dad used to say he wanted to "live until I die." I understand that sentiment now. I too want to live till I die. Indeed!

I Want to Meet My Mastermind Friends

We have talked on the telephone once a week for over a year now. I want to meet these very special internet friends!

I Want to Continue to Enjoy Happy Times with My Family

We all had fun on the surprise trip to see the dolphins! But another of my favorite memories of that weekend was playing Battle of the Sexes with our children and their spouses! What fun!

I want to Retire to Seabrook Island

One of the prettiest spots in South Carolina is Seabrook Island. I have big dreams of retiring there within 5 years. I want a house with a screened porch that faces the ocean - Pelican Point is perfect! I want to have plenty of room for lots of happy visits with friends and family.

I Want to See the Baby Loggerhead Turtles Head off to Sea!

For years, this has been on my "bucket list". I want to watch the baby loggerhead turtles scurry from the beach to the sea. In South Carolina these nests are vigorously protected by volunteers, and on hatching day, the children form lines to help the little turtles get to the ocean. I intend to see that happen one day!

I Want to Be A Successful Internet Marketer

I want to provide helpful products to people on line - and make a living for us doing just that! My on line adventure began with reading Pat O'Bryan's Portable Empire. One day I will meet Pat and thank him in person!

One Week Marketing

Thank you, Jennifer, for a super guide to help me reach my goals!

I Want to Complete Writing My Personal History

I firmly believe we all need to write our personal histories. I treasure family notes, letters, stories. I want to be sure my children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren know my story.

I Want to Win the Lottery!

and I am serious!

When the children were small, and the day was dreary, I would say to the children, "Well, if Ed McMahan comes by today with that sweepstakes check, do you want me to come get you at school or wait till you get home?"

I have always dreamed of winning the lottery or a sweepstakes. I just want to live like a millionaire for a while -- I think I could adjust quite nicely, thank you!

My Goals - Very Revealing

I giggled a little as I made this lens -- I have been setting goals since 1979. My, how my goals have changed. At this point, there are very few places I want to go, and very few things I really want to do. My most serious goals at this point revolve around my family and my friends - playing with the grandchildren, laughing with my friends and family, enjoying the moments. Life is interesting, dear readers. Have fun! And laugh as much as you possibly can!

Great set of things to accomplish in the next 5 years ~ it's always great to dream and set goals as you look ahead into the future. I've been doing so for the past 2 decades now, but at the same time, I remain open to making shifts as I go along. Having said so, I like to take it one day at a time and enjoy every moment that life has to offer and live in the grace of God. Enjoyed your lens and wishing you the best...God bless! :)

Indeed, I totally agree! It's important to make plans and dream big dreams, but even more important to enjoy the present moments. And remain open to the new opportunities and challenges that present themselves along the way - it's all a journey!

Excellent lens. I haven't been as organised as you, so I haven't planned the next 10 years, but it's a great idea to do so.

Love this lens! I am inspired to create one of my own, but my current goal is "Try to find more hours in the day to get everything done that needs to get done," so it might take awhile before I get to it. Am favoriting this so I can come back and be inspired again. :-)

Great Lens. You are really GOOD at this lens making thing, LOL.

My biggest goal right now is to figure out what to do next. I feel another major life change looming on the horizon. In the short term, I want to make enough lenses this month to get to Giant100, and I want to complete all the RocketMom assignments over the next 8 weeks. Lucky for me those two goals will work together nicely.

What a wonderful lens. Your creative mind never ceases to amaze me!!
I'll never live on an island overlooking the ocean, but would love to see the ocean.
I want to be mentally and physically healthy.
I want to be able to pay our bills on our fixed retirement income without starving.
Those are my main goals. I've eliminated any goals involving wealth and fame because the unreality of that skewed my perspective. I'd rather be happy and contented than wealthy and famous.

We share many of the same goals - although I don't bother with the lottery since I took an advanced statistics course. I leave that to my optimist husband while I focus on my online passions and artwork. Loved this lens, Joan - it's really a two-fer: About Joan and 10 Things.

I have a vague Idea of what I want to accomplish in the next ten years but I haven't pinned it down. Top on the list is getting and keeping health. I've started walking again. That's a start.

Isn't it strange to say you will be turning 70 in five years? And I am only 4 years behind you. This is so well done. I have always admired your goal setting. Hey, when you win the lottery, please don't forget about your little sis.

This is a great idea & yours are worthy goals. I think all but one of them are doable..., but then even though the odds are heavy against you...why shouldn't you win the lottery?? I want to stay physically & mentally healthy too...& I want to enjoy watching and contributing to my children helping my grandchildren to grow up as happy, productive human beings...Looks like my goals are paralleling yours, but I would like to move from my "brick & mortar" business and become a successful internet marketer and blogger...I would like to take my family & friends on more trips into real wilderness areas & put them fully in balance with that life perspective...I'd love to make a difference in helping my family, my friends & everyone worldwide understand & recognize the significant role that replenishing their body with "healthy", balanced water plays in their life energy level, their physical & mental health & their overall life experience itself...and finally I want to be a "scratch" golfer!
