Automatic Dog Ball Launcher
The dog's owner created an automatic dog tennis ball launcher to relieve his tennis elbow and potential physical exhaustion from repeated throws.
A similar application for an automatic dog ball launcher was created by the innovative engineering students at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada as part of the CanAssist program. An automatic ball thrower was created to help wheelchair bound, Bill, a former mountain biker with limited mobility to continue to enjoy playing fetch with his dog Dexter. The design was later adapted with less projectile for indoor use for another patient, Shannon, so she could play fetch with her dog Austin. Their stories can be found here.

Where Can I Find the Tennis Ball Playing Dog Video Carly Showed Ellen?
February 16, 2009
Jerry needs no help playing with his ball.
I built the ball machine because I thought my dog Jerry, might like it and that it would be something fun for me to build. So after two years of on and off work, with many safety features such as IR proximity sensors to protect Jerry and my son from the machine, I finally complete. Far from being a replacement for me, I was always right there with him enjoying his fun. And with all the troubles that I went through to build the ball machine, I still end up throwing more balls than that the machine could count! According to the computer, he played with the machine by himself only 3 times in his life. I recently put this video on YouTube to keep alive my earlier memories of him and (hopefully) provide some "humorous distractions" for anyone that might drop by. Please enjoy the video.

What Do You Think About Automatic Tennis Ball Machines?
Cruel or Clever?
Anyone who's ever owned a lab or any other tennis ball chasing dog knows that even when their tongues are hanging way out of their mouths and they're breathing heavily, that dogs will out chase the arm sockets out of any owner.
Some pet owners were concerned that Jerry, the tennis ball chasing dog was having to play on his own. But his owner has reassured people the automatic tennis ball throwing machine is to prevent stress on his own body and that they enjoy the automatic tennis ball launching machine together.

GoDogGo Automatic Ball Fetch Machine For Dogs
Used Model Available On eBay
Description From Seller
Up for bid is a GoDogGo brand automatic tennis ball fetch machine for dogs (cats too I guess, but I've never seen a cat chase tennis balls). Let me make it clear immediately, the picture for this ad is NOT the machine for sale. The unit I am selling is an older model and is too large/difficult for me to photograph. The only difference between what you see and the unit you will get is that mine has a blue base and a red/orange color bucket (and the box looks different). Also the newer models have a wireless remote control and this model does not. It is otherwise the same product from the same manufacturer just an older version.
While eBay will not let me use the term "like new" in the title it is indeed just like a new one! The unit I am selling was used for a week, maybe two. Our dogs didn't like it and never took to it so we boxed it up and put in in the basement and there it has sat until now. Its about 5 years old, but is still in perfect, like new condition. It ships in the original carton and I even have the original paperwork and warranty card in the box. It is truly like a brand new machine. Here's what the GoDogGo website has to say about this product...
