The Aliens Story, facts we know
from their planet, Naratuko, to here
Naratuko, their home planet, is dying. The environment in the test tube recreates that of Naratuko until a new suitable planet can be found for them to colonize.Their Planet has habitable sloog swamps, much like the continent on earth, so their natural living environment deems they may be raised in a sloog environment which contains their food & nutrients and protects them from drying out.
Due to the size of their planet and the speed which it rotates around its suns, one year on Naratuko equates to one earth day, our daytime being their summer, our night their winter. On Naratuko it is light all summer and dark all winter so to maintain perfect health the aliens prefer to see 12 hours continuous light followed by 12 hours continuous dark.
The Aliens breathe through the tips of their antennae, and for perfect health they like to remain covered in sloog, with just the tips of their antennas protruding. If completely immersed in sloog they will start to drown, and if not given enough they will starve and dry out. The Aliens will grow to their maximum size over a period of about 14 days making them the equivalent of teenagers on their own planet, and they can live to over 200 years Old on their own planet!
Whilst the aliens are alive they have a visible flashing heartbeat. They can communicate with their home planet via the internet, by holding an alien up to the portal window at testtubealiens.com, the alien can be interrogated to determine its health & age or to put it into various modes. There is a section below explaining the various settings.
The Aliens have landed
but why are they here?

The Evil Aliens, unable to secure planetary domination, and now facing imminent defeat, turned their attention to the destruction of Naratuko, with the twisted aim of terminating the entire species.
In the face of the destruction of their race, the Good Aliens decided that their only hope would be to do as their forefathers have done. A generic mutation allowed them to regress their age and transform their bodies into that of an unborn alien. By doing this they lost all of their bodily strength, gained over centuries, only their powerful minds remaining intact, as their bodies reverted to that of an infant.
They have travelled the Galaxy in search of a sympathetic life form that would raise them back to adulthood, until such a time as a new, habitable planet could be found. As they fled the planet in their regressed, chrysalis state, the evil race saw the lights from their launch and decided they also had no choice. The evil race would not allow the good to prevail and decided to undertake the same gruesome transformation so that they could pursue the Good Race, in an attempt to wipe them out once and for all....

What's your Alien saying to you
.. or what do the flashing lights mean
- RED - in normal heartbeat mode - means he (it) is fine and dandy
- RED - Rapid heartbeat - means your Alien is in a state of panic, this usually indicates that it has had either too much dark or too much light, move it from it's present situation and it should calm down in 10-20 minutes
- GREEN - flashing - means your alien is drowning, it has too much liquid in it. However sometimes just moving it (it likes to sit still!) makes the sensor wet so you should leave it for a few minutes to see if it calms down, if it doesn't carefully drain some of the liquid from the tube. The sloog level should be approximately half way up the antenna of your alien
- ORANGE - flashing - means your alien is hungry! - feed it or else.
- ORANGE - a longer burst, is the color it gives a longer flash of just before it's about to communicate an encoded signal to you. You can decrypt this signal at the testtubealiens.com portal
Suzy's Note:
There does seem to be popular search cropping up in my stats.. It asks about the GREEN light staying on constantly.. I have no official news from Alien HQ, but to me it means your Alien is dying?
Their technology is not that good, as it seems that even they can't 'live' forever. Our First Alien lived approximately 240 days which I believe is 'not too shabby', I wish I'd recorded the final days in a screenshot or something.. the longest surviving age of a TTA is approximately 200 (that's days to us, but years to them!)
Feel free to comment and if you have a screenshot, via the testtubealiens.com portal, of an alien older than 200 please do send it in and I'll add it here with credit!
Peace Out!
Keep your Alien Healthy
check its progress via an internet portal
To check its progress you can visit the Alien Communication portal. Here you can register your alien, print off a registration certificate, and use the Research Lab for communicating vital facts
To use the portal, you need to hold your alien to the screen (carefully it doesn't work if the Alien is in panic mode) click the "Check Age" or "Check Health" button hold it still until the timer has counted down to zero and the portal closes. Then your alien should flash orange followed by a sequence of lights which finish with Orange again. You should enter the given sequence of lights by clicking on the green boxes to change them to red

Your alien will repeat this sequence so you can check it before hitting submit to get your report
see the video below for a demonstration.
