Don't Eat Your Words This Thanksgiving!

For some families, Thanksgiving is the one day each year when families join one another for a meal and those extra special recipes are prepared to be shared with loved ones.

When you bring young and old together there are bound to be some interesting and controversial topics that erupt while passing the potatoes. And then there are the moments when you need to create a diversion before your cousin's date answers Grandpa's question in front Aunt Sally and your 4 year old nephew who has taken a sudden interest in the conversation. If your family is anything like mine, you get the idea!

For example, you can imagine my first Thanksgiving as a vegetarian when my grandfather (who I have the utmost respect for) was a cattle rancher and to make matters worse, my dad a very enthusiastic game hunter. Oh, my! Please pass the Tofurky!?

These situations call for an entertainment emergency kit! Thankfully, Thanksgiving themed games and dinner conversation starters should do the trick and get your dinner party back on track to family friendly topics.

Fun For The Kid's Table

This game is irresistible and the kid's table just might become the cool place to hang out once these ridiculous questions start rolling!

The 'Would You Rather' card game is recommended for ages 7 & up, but honestly, we rarely play by the rules at our house. We usually just skip the game play altogether and take turns answering the questions, which allows for kids of all ages to join the conversation. Besides, it's really difficult to keep score when you are laughing yourself silly.

EXAMPLE QUESTIONS:
Would you rather eat a bucket of apple stems -OR- eat 20 banana peels?

Would you rather always sound extremely mean -OR- always look like you've just smelled something bad?
