So Is Lose The Back Pain Just A Scam?
Scam Or Cure For Back Pain?
"Lose The Back Pain system" helped me to resume my life.
That sounds dramatic and it was..... I was at the point with such severe back and sciatic pain, where I was spending most of my time at home, unable to walk much , drive, do anything I needed to do let alone what I wanted to do and I was becoming depressed.....
I had been suffering with persistent low back pain and burning sciatica in both legs hip to toes for over a year; trekking around so many professionals and having so many tests and treatments which only gave temporary relief , if any. Lose the back pain system is the main thing which gave me relief.
I got access to great personal support from Steve Hefferon and the great people over at Lose The Back Pain Discussion Forum.
I am in good company, over 30,000 People in 85 Countries have used the "lose the back pain system" to get relief from Back and sciatic Pain and improve health and wellbeing...and I am here to tell you from my perspective my take on this back pain exercise system.

Lose The Back Pain -What Do You Learn?
How to Assess your imbalances.
Why Muscle imbalances are so important if you have a bad back
Which muscles need to be stretched and which muscles need to be strengthened.
You get a step by step guide on which exercises to do and how.
Then do specific and targetted exercise to address those imbalances.
What is Lose The Back Pain's "Targetted Specific" Stretching And Strengthening Exercise?
...as opposed to generic back pain exercises.
When I was doing my trawl around all the back care professions trying to get better from sciatica symptoms and pain I was several times, after an assessment, given exercises to do which were supposed to be good for my back.
I was given them on a sheet which I had to follow and do several times a day. I did them diligently and it did not help me too much. In fact one exercise used to make me a lot worse!
Why was this?
Since learning more I found that those printed exercises on a sheet were given to many people with back problems. Same exercises. Now they may well work for some people but they did not work for me. They were not specific to my needs.
So what are the targetted specific exercises?
With Lose the back pain you do a self assessment and find out which of the "physical dysfunctions" as they call them you have. These physical dysfunctions are oftentimes a result of muscle imbalances. You then follow the exercises for that particular dysfunction.
Different exercises for different dysfunctions...to address the muscle imbalances you have, to relieve the pain....makes sense?
You also send in your self assessment information to the support service and they may give you additional advice dependant on your circumstances.
So instead of generic exercises I got a customised set of exercises which sorted out my muscle imbalances and got rid of the back pain and sciatica :)

5 Simple Steps To Back Pain Relief
Five step process to help eliminate your back and sciatic pain.Written by Steve Hefferon and Jesse Cannone of the Healthy Back Institute

Eliminate Back Pain Quickly Without Harmful Medications or Dangerous Surgery
5 simple steps for ridding yourself of back pain
Millions of people suffer from back pain unnecessarily when there is actually a very simple solution, according to Jesse Cannone , certified personal trainer and back pain specialist.
Here's the simple system that MUST be followed if you are looking for real, long-term, lasting relief:
1. Identify the cause - nearly all of the treatments people receive for back pain only focus on the symptoms and the healthcare professionals zoom in on only the problem area. The real key in eliminating back pain is to find out exactly what's causing the problem... and most of the time it's not even the back!
2. Address both the cause and the symptom - the best approach is a combination of treating the symptoms for pain relief while also addressing the underlying cause.
3. Be aware - many people suffering from back pain are not in tune with their bodies and during their treatment they do not realize what is working and what is not. In order to achieve long-term relief you have to understand how your body works, what's causing the problem, and what changes have to be made to correct it.
4. Consistent Focused Action - achieving success in anything requires consistency and focused action. Most people with back pain won't make the time to work on their problem each day... instead they take pain killers which mask the pain and allow them to cause more damage while they continue with their life.
5. Don't do what doesn't work - we already know that most traditional treatments for back pain don't work.... The real key to eliminating back pain is to identify the true cause of the pain and then address it with a combination of treatments to treat both the cause and symptoms. Over 80% of all back pain is caused by muscle imbalances... NOT a lack of medicine or surgery!
Find out what's going on in your body and take action.

What Is A Muscle Imbalance? What Does It Mean To Back Pain?
Could muscle imbalances be the root cause of your back pain?
A brief extract of an explanation from the guys who created Lose the Back pain.
"The reason you have back pain is because your body and spine have been pulled out of their normal position and into what we call dysfunctions...
If you are like most people, you move around and live your life without ever being aware that you are forcing your body to work with these dysfunctions, and sooner or later your body breaks down...
As you can imagine, it doesn't take long before this results in pain. It's very important to understand though, that these dysfunctions don't just appear out of nowhere - we create them!
For a more detailed explanation please read on here...
- Muscle Imbalances Lose The Back Pain Explanation.
- Whatever system or treatment you do follow you need to treat the symptoms AND the root cause.
Treat the pain of course and if you can get to what is causing your pain.
Back Issues can "develop over time and are the direct result of imbalances between various muscle groups, what we call "muscle imbalances".

Lose The Back Pain Introduction.
- Lose The Back Pain Introduction Video
- An 8 minute introductory video on Lose the back pain system. Steve Hefferon and Jesse Cannone introduce themselves and their system, explain a little about muscle imbalances and discuss how they would like to help people suffering from back pain and sciatica. I hope you find it useful.
My Muscle Imbalances...
I never knew muscle imbalances could be important in back pain and sciatica....
In my case I had very strong quadriceps(front of upper leg) and very weak hamstrings(back of upper leg). These imbalances together with others gave me an anterior or forward tipping pelvis which showed in excessive lordosis of the lumbar spine, which caused a lot of stress on the discs until they herniated and put pressure on the nerve which gave me pain.
The root cause of my pain was not the herniated disc. The root cause of my pain was the muscle imbalances which resulted in the herniated disc which resulted in pressure on the sciatic nerve which gave me pain.
The doctor had told me to stand up straight. I was asked if I had been a gymnast as my spine was so curved! The physio had told me I had to reduce the curve in my spine and that there was something wrong with my hip position; the osteo had told me that I had slippage of the vertabrae.
I knew from seeing X RAys and MRI that I had a very curved spine and that several discs were herniated, and I knew I had dessicated degenerative discs...but no one had told me about muscle imbalances which turned out to be key in my case...
Can you see why I am so thankful to Lose the back Pain?
I had tried everything except the more invasive methods but I could not cope much longer especially with the burning and tingling type pain in my legs, my inability to walk far, sit, drive etc and the very poor quality of life I was leading and was heading for surgery.
For me once I addressed my imbalances, my posture improved, my spine curvature became more normal,as I get it the pressure came off the nerve and I was so relieved!!
It took a little while with me, it was not overnight, it was several months rather than days but it did help me get better! Do I still need to take care of my back, of course I do but I do not get pain anymore.
Review Of "Lose The Back Pain System"
Summary of my personal experiences and understanding of the "lose the back pain system"
First off I do believe in the "lose the back pain" system. Why? Well because I used it to help get rid of my back pain and sciatica and it worked!
I had tried many treatments which either did not work at all for me or only worked temporarily and I wasn't making any significant improvement.
My physiotherapy was stopped and I was referred to a neurosurgeon for consideration for back surgery.
I had a 3 month wait to see him and in the meantime I decided to try something a bit different...
- Find out more about the Lose the Back Pain System.
- I found "lose the back pain" on the internet search and it looked interesting.I was reluctant to try another thing but something just told me to give it a try.
"Lose the back pain" was less than the cost of 2 treatments so I thought I would give it one last shot, and with a money back guarentee it seemed to be a good option.
I needn't have worried, it was all fine. Within 3 weeks I was getting relief I hadn't had in over 7 months and it was steady progress after that.
I had Steve Hefferon(one of the co founders) as my "coach" throughout my back pain recovery so I feel I got to know him pretty well.I probably drove the poor guy mad with all my e mails asking questions!! I do believe these guys to be honest and fair.
Six Things Not So Good About Lose The Back Pain.
Review of the lose the back pain system.
- It does require committment and motivation from you to follow through.
- There are no "instant" results, although many people have reported good results within days, others (like me), take longer.
- It wont work if you don't do it.
- You don't have a professional taking you through each exercise and showing you or watching you while you do it.(but you do have the DVD's to refer to which demonstrate all the exercises)
- It may not work for everyone in every circumstance.(what does?)
- It does cost money.(but has to be said less money than a couple of most treatments)
Ten Good Things About Lose The Back Pain System.
Lose The Back Pain Sytem Review.
- The exercises are specific and targetted to the imbalances you identify in the self assessments, not generic.Having all the exercises demonstrated makes it very easy for you to check your form and make sure you are doing them as they should be done.
- You get to be in control of the way you look after your back.
- You learn to listen to your body and become more educated about your back. You do get a whole host of other information to help you such as back pain relief strategies.
- Many people get fantastic results in a relatively short timeframe.
- If you do it there is a good chance it will work.
- You dont have to do weekly or tri weekly visits to a healthcare professional to do your treatments. You do it in your own time to suit you and your lifestyle. There is no driving to appointments, parking, arranging for people to look after the kids etc...
- It cost less than a couple of treatments from a professional.
- If you do continue to have professional back pain treatments you can use what you learn to enhance those treatments and be more proactive in your care.
- You do have access by phone or email to optional personal support.( I felt I had more time to ask questions this way than I did in a quick treatment appointment.)
- You do have access to a very helpful back pain discussion forum. Lose the back Pain Discussion Forum.

Is "Lose The Back Pain System" For You?
Does "Lose the Back Pain " really work?

I experienced Lose the Back Pain personally and I know it worked for me. For that I am very thankful. Please note this is my opinion and my personal experiences.
What if it could work for you ?
The only way you will really know is if you experience Lose the Back Pain System for yourself.Listen to your body and see what works for you.
Heres how I measure Lose the Back Pain as being useful and upstanding..
There is a real e mail address and a real telephone number. You can speak with real people. Steve Hefferon one of the co founders does a lot of the support work himself helping you to get the most from Lose The Back Pain System.
They are there to help you and give you support. I have e mailed Steve on many occasions and talked with him on the phone and got a lot of support from him to help me with my back and sciatic pain.
There is a guarentee...No one thing will be right for or suit everyone. The originators of this product know that and thats why there is a guarentee so if it does not work for you, you can send it back which seems very fair to me! Can't say that about too many treatments or information on back pain.
...but if you just tried it and worked for you as well as it did for me ...well that would be FANTASTIC!!
However as Steve says on the Lose the back pain DVD:-
" It will not work if you do not do it"

Top Tips To Effective Use Of Lose The Back Pain System
How to get the most out of your lose the back pain system.
Everyone is different but this is just an idea of how you might approach all the information you will receive when you get your copy of lose the back pain system. Its just suggestions , see your healthcare provider and/or talk to Steve Hefferon for more details on if/how you should proceed.
When you first receive the lose the back pain system I would advise you watch the 2 DVDs first through before you do the assessments. Then familiarise yourself with the rest of the material.
Then do the assessments, take you time over these and go back and do them again if you are not sure. You can do these alone but it may be helpful if you have someone with you.
When you have done the assessments, with the optional personal support, you can send your results off to the Healthy Back Institute for their consideration.
If you are clear which "dysfunctions " you have you can go ahead and start the exercises. If you are not sure wait for feedback from the healthy Back Institute, I always found them quite quick in response.
Your body is in pain and you are likely not used to the exercises so do take it slow and steady.
Ask for help from the support service (optional)as you need it.
Use the "Lose the Back Pain discussion Forum" to gain helpful advice and different perspectives from other back pain sufferers.
Tips For Doing "Lose The Back Pain " Exercises
Suggestions from my personal experience of using the lose the back pain system
Your body is in pain and you will likely not be used to doing these exercises. Take it slow and steady at first.
You do need to give it a little time. Don't just use it for a week and then give up. I used it for three weeks before I started to see a difference. I am very glad I did not give up after a week!
You may find it helpful to do the exercises after a warm bath or shower.
Do the exercises after your body has warmed up a bit, so not first thing in the morning, get moving around a bit first.
Start gently and go only to your tolerance. This is not a no pain no gain thing. Only go as far as is comfortable for you.
People like to do the lose the back pain exercises in different ways to suit them. Some people do the whole set of exercises for their condition every morning and evening, others like to do the exercises more often but only one or two each time. Experiment and see what works best for you.
If you experience any problems with the lose the back pain program of exercises, or you are not sure about how to do them, with the optional support service, you can ask for advice.
As with any thing you should consult with your healthcare professional to make sure it is OK for you to start on a program of exercise.

- 5 Simple Steps to Back Pain Relief
- Millions of people suffer from back pain unnecessarily when there is actually a very simple solution, according to Jesse Cannone , certified personal trainer and back pain specialist. "Unfortunately, many people are led to believe that back pain is normal and were all supposed to experience it... well, thankfully, that's not the case. - Back Pain and Bodybuilding
- It's one thing for someone who sits at a computer all day and never exercises to have back pain, but for a bodybuilder, someone who
spends hours and hours each week pouring everything they've got into building muscle, it should be criminal!
The reason we say this is because, if you are going to spend so much time, money, and energy trying to build the "perfect body", you have
to make sure that you not only look good, but also feel good.

pain. - S1 Joint Dysfunction
- The S-I joint is one of the most misunderstood areas of the human body. It has been the source of much controversy in the medical community for many years. Much of the debate relies on the fact that there are few reliable evaluation methods for the S-I joint.
Contrary to disc injuries, which can be evaluated using many types of diagnostic tools, examining the S-I joints has proved to be quite unreliable.
The S-I (Sacro-Iliac) joint is comprised of two bones; the sacrum and the ilium. You have two S-I joints (left and right). They are located basically where the spine meets the pelvis.
What do you feel?
Pain located at or near the S-I joint on one side or both sides. Pain located in the low back, buttock, and/or groin area. Another common symptom of a S-I joint dysfunction is "sciatica". S-I joint dysfunction may also cause nerve irritation of the nerves that supply the groin or front of your thigh. - Scoliosis What is It?
