Everybody's guide to the meaning of life

What is your purpose, and mine, in being here? ... never mind the bigger and unsolvable questions better left to the philosophers, the religions and the scientists. Why are you and I here? It's a fair question and one which impacts directly upon us as individuals and our everyday lives. What the hell are we doing here?

The answer I wish to give is somewhat shocking if you've never thought about the idea that our souls existed before we were born. We make agreements ... she calls them sacred contracts ... before we are born to achieve certain goals during our lifetime. This is our soul's purpose and the only meaning of life that should really matter to us personally.

But wait. I can already hear you shouting indignantly at me, what about free will? Why should I do what my soul wants me to do? My life is mine to do with as I wish. Ah yes, I agree. But it was you, your own soul, who decided these things and much of the world's sorrows ... failures, depression, resorting to drugs or hitting the booze, even suicides ... occur when we are not meeting our soul's goals. Unfair? Sure. But I believe ... having experienced the ultimate failure of bankruptcy, losing everything (including a marriage and my freelance advertising business) and falling into severe illness caused by these events ... that this is the ultimate secret of our existence and at the heart of so many of our problems.

This was the doorway to discovery, of my true purpose in life, when doors have flown open and the red carpet is rolled out at every turn. The world is full of examples ... look at Billy Joel who so often has said how he can't believe he gets paid to do what he does. He's one person who instinctively found his soul's purpose early in life.
Like it or not, this is the meaning of life at an individual level. How we find it, well, that's why I've created a website (see RSS feed below) and why I'm writing this lens. I don't want you to suffer the same fate as me. I want to shout to the world that THIS IS THE MEANING OF YOUR LIFE AND THE PATH TO TRUE HAPPINESS.
