So who is Squid Girl?

Well Squid Girl became known to the Squidoo community when she saw the Adventures of Squid Contest.
She came to me on November 28th and said "Mom" also known as The Party Animal, "I was reading in the SquidU Forum and saw a contest about Squidoo Orange Guy (a distant cousin) going on adventures and I wanna go to." So I said "Sure", how could I resist a smile and big bright eyes like that?

 


So what will our Adventure be? 

So me and Squid Girl sat down to talk about what we would do. She Had a nice glass of chocolate milk and me a big cup of Hot Coffee (of course) while we talked about the contest.

We knew there were 4 categories we could enter:
Great Places
Great People
Super Pampering and
A Grand Squid Adventure

Well Great Places was out being we were not going anywhere and there is nothing great about where we live.
Super Pampering was out because she just had her hair done and spa treatment a few days before - if we only knew then.
A Grand Squid Adventure was also out since we just came back last month from a Safari in Africa and traveling around the world in search of Squids for the past two years. We were still tired from that.
Great People was a thought, but who?
Squid Girl had to think about it - so she figured maybe something would come to her in her dreams that night.

So the next morning............. 

We sat down for breakfast and being it is holiday time we started talking about Christmas and what she wanted Santa to bring her this year.
She started rattling things off that she saw on the Squidoo Home for The Holidays Lens. Things like Elmo Live, Bakugan, Some of the Newest Webkinz, Wii Games just for Girls and so much more I could not keep up with her. I told her she needed to write it all down.
Then I asked if she had given any more thought about the Adventures of Squid Contest. She said "No still thinking". I told her we had to come up with something quick - there is a deadline and being a Squid herself she knows they will keep it.
Well today was the day we decorated the Christmas tree and maybe something would come to her as the day went on.

While we decorated the tree............ 

Squid Girl puts on her Santa Hat to help get into the spirit of Christmas. She sings Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer as best as a Squid can. We have so much fun dancing and laughing talking about Squidoo. Oh and yes the contest. So Squid girl says "When can we go see Santa?". I said "That's it!!!". "Huh?" says Squid Girl. "Santa - he is a great person right?" Squid Girl thinks a minute, "Yes of course he is, why?". "Because that will be your adventure - we will go see Santa, what better person this time of year." Squid girl was so exited by the whole thought of seeing Santa and entering her picture with him to the Adventures of Squid Contest. It was just perfect.......
So we decided after lunch we were off to see Santa, but first a nice big bowl of Turkey Soup, you know from all the thanksgiving day leftovers.

Santa a Jolly Old Great Person 

So we get to the store and Squid girl could hardly contain her tentacles. She lights up when she sees Santa. Santa looks at her and well is not sure what to think. For a moment there was an awkward pause. Squid girl is a bit different than all the others who where there to see Santa, but Santa over looks her Squid looks and that moment turns into Holiday Happiness.

Funny thing is: Her list changed from what she told me earlier. Squids, they just cannot stick to one thing. Here are some of things she mentioned to Santa - and there was many more.

More Webkinz. What is with those things? Squid girl is obsessed with Webkinz, but if that is what she wants then hopefully Santa will bring her some.

She even just had a Webkinz Themed Birthday Party and received 12 in gifts. That Ganz company is very smart - don't ya think? How many Webkinz and Accessories can one Squid Girl have?

And how nice was this she even said that she wishes her mom gets more traffic to her Squidoo Pages. Now that is my Squid Girl!!!

And Squid Girl has wishes for Her Squid friends on Squidoo too 

She wants all Squidoo-ers to practice being good squids and if you feel you have a Squidoo addiction, like her mom, to have an intervention.
