The big rival to the PS3 at the moment is the Nintendo WII. This is a cheaper alternative to the PS3 and some people believe is alot more fun. Due to the interactive movement required when playing the games.
This console system also connects to the internet and after downloading the virtual console from Wii shopping you can buy games online. It also connects to various channels via the internet, such as shopping, news and weather.
The most important part of the Wii is the remote with its motion sensing technology it makes games more realistic. The remote also has a speaker, rumble feature and an expansion port, so you can connect other things such as the Nunchuk which is used with the remote in gameplay. The sensor bar uses bluetooth to connect wirelessly to the remote, upto 4 remotes at once can be connected making for good multiplayer gaming.
The graphics are not in the same league as the PS3 and XBOX360 but the Wii is fund and alot more interactive due to the motion sensing technology.
