Nothing beats a solid album that can be listened to from start to finish, but there is a lot to be said for the almighty “Best Of” collections. These are the greastest hits albums for the biggest bands, groups, and singers of the 1980s, from Adam Ant to ZZ Top.

These compilation albums pack a big punch, and for many, serve as the perfect collection of some amazing music. Perhaps these albums were a great retrospective to a favorite group, or maybe it was your first introduction to a band you would end up loving for life. Whatever the story is behind your favorite Greatest Hits album, I want to hear it. Simply choose an album below, hit “Review It,” and give me the low-down on the Best of the Best of the 80s!

I can see most of my favorites from the 80s in the list. But I think you should also include The Jets (You Got It all, Make It Real, Rocket 2 U, etc.) and Menudo. I believe both bands are also from the 80s.

I added The Jets, but I'm not familiar enough with Menudo's music to pick an appropriate "Best of" album. If you've got a recommendation, I'll add it!

Is it me or Are Duran Duran missing off the list?! In my humble opinion they were the best band of the 80s. Have a look at this if you agree... :0)
