The Cholesterol Solution Guide Review

Ranked #3,235 in Healthy Living, #69,231 overall

What is Cholesterol?

Cholesterol has been shown to increase the risk of heart disease and strokes.

It’s a waxy substance that travels through the blood, helping the body and keeping our arteries clear, but there is a good and bad cholesterol.

This book “The Cholesterol Solution Guide“ will tell you more about what cholesterol is, so that you are aware of the need to reduce your Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), bad cholesterol levels and increase the High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), or good cholesterol levels.

LDL is considered the bad plaque accumulation on the artery walls, but there are good and bad reasons with HDL also, if interested please download this eBook on your kindle and read it.

As we age it is very important to keep our bodies healthy that means staying as low as possible in LDL Cholesterol the level of 5.5 or below is recommended for an adult.

It is said that it is the number one killer of Americans, women and men. The higher your blood cholesterol level, the greater your risk.

Lowering your Cholesterol level in thirty days without drugs.

It is easier than you think to lower it, as I did, and I’m keeping it below the 5.5 level without drugs.

In many causes it is a matter of just changing your life style, watching your diet, physical activity, and weight management counts a lot towards controlling it, but in some cases like my husband, it has to be controlled by drugs, as he’s eating the same foods as I do and his cholesterol is way too high, as you can see foods will work differently for different people.

So this is a ideal book to invest a little money and time to read it to fully understand how this works, it tells you about, home remedies to use, food like a plate of cooked oatmeal porridge with a banana, blueberries, avocado, sliced apple or some other fruit even grapefruit.

Also explains about Eggplant, Cinnamon, Garlic, Apple Cider, Cranberry and Red Wine for lowering your levels of LDL Cholesterol

For lunch try some fish, like salmon or tuna, my husband likes eating tinned sardines, but be wary of the smell ( I don’t like that smell on his breath).

So many things are explained in this book, that I didn’t know, and I have been struggling with meals for my husband for many years now, trying to combat that high cholesterol levee, I certainly will be apply some of this very helpful info.

There are some recipes, but I will leave that for you to discover yourself.

Hope you have a Happy Healthy Aging Body with no cholesterol problems.

Sadly my GP told me my cholesterol is a bit high. So now I am confused. I eat very well and drink green juice every day! The only thing that I have not done is kept up my walking routine - life just gets in the way. I have spent way too much time working at my computer - so this is it. From now I I wlak everyday for at least 1 hour! 10,000 steps each day! Wish me luck. I'll need this book too if the walking doesn't work.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 17, 2014 @ 11:31 pm
Sorry to hear that, hope your walking exercise will help your Cholesterol levels to come down. I do wish you luck, but we do spend too much time in front of our computers, I make sure that I walk everyday, no matter what the weather is, actually it is quiet nice walking in the rain. Keep smiling, don't forget to come back and let me know how you are getting on.

Diet is my approach. I cut down on foods rich in cholesterol. I wish I'd do more exercising, but it's in my plans.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 12, 2014 @ 4:05 pm
Yes most of it is to do with diet but in some cases it isn't. As you said exercising is very important. All the best for your plans, it's easier said than done in these very busy times.

Thanks Sandy, Appreciate you visit. Cholesterol is a very big health problem, it's time we all checked our levels and if needed do something about it.

I am very lucky that cholesterol has never been an issue for me. I do not eat a lot of meat so my levels tend to stay low. My husband however is another issue and we really work diligently to keep his cholesterol low with oatmeal, walnuts, low fat milk, and zero trans fats.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 07, 2014 @ 2:20 pm
Great you don't have a cholesterol problem. Hope you husband keeps his low, he is following down the right track. Does he take any drugs or is it all natural?
  • TapIn2U Mar 06, 2014 @ 9:58 pm

  • trevorjb1406 Mar 06, 2014 @ 6:55 am
Don't eat fried foods or fatty foods and some exercise helps.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 06, 2014 @ 2:55 pm
That sounds like a good diet to avoid cholesterol problems, exercising is good to keep healthy.
  • PlacementIndia Mar 05, 2014 @ 7:19 am
    daily exercise...
  • kiwinana71 Mar 05, 2014 @ 2:29 pm
Yes exercise is a perfect way to help keep cholesterol levels down, but not in all cases, but it works for those that don't have a problem, like you and me.
  • Arachnea Mar 04, 2014 @ 9:20 pm
Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and reducing unnecessary fats. Exercise. My problem is sticking to a regime over the long haul.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 04, 2014 @ 9:53 pm
Very true, but we are allowed to have something special occasionally, as long as it's in moderation.
  • benjamindlee Mar 04, 2014 @ 3:16 pm
Great cholesterol information. I enjoyed reading.
  • RubyHRose Mar 04, 2014 @ 2:35 pm
We are always looking for drug alternatives for our health. Great information here. Glad to know my love of oatmeal is a good thing! Congrats on review of the day.

My husbands family all suffer from high cholestrol and no drugs help them at all, neither does diet. It seems to be hereditary. But we do whatever we can to keep our meals healthy and not compound the problem. Thanks for a great review!
  • kiwinana71 Mar 04, 2014 @ 2:51 pm
Yes I agree with you no matter what we do, nothing seem to help, I do think it is a hereditary problem and as you say eat healthy, every little bit helps. Glad you like the review, I am very passionate about this high cholesterol, there must be a answer somewhere to this problem.
  • woodfieldhomes Mar 04, 2014 @ 1:16 pm
I have found that walking 20 minutes first thing in the morning and last thing at night has helped with my cholesterol. Also found oatmeal to be a good too.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 04, 2014 @ 2:47 pm
Nice to know that walking has helped you. My husband and I walk every morning but not in the evening, maybe we need to start that also. Thanks for stopping-by and commenting. Have a nice day.
  • d-artist Mar 04, 2014 @ 10:08 am
I eat oatmeal (uncooked) with bananas, raisins and sliced almonds, topped with none fat yogurt and soy milk. Unfortunately I have a hard time controlling the cholesterol numbers because mine is caused by the thyroid medication...it's a no win situation.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 04, 2014 @ 2:43 pm
Yes it's very sad when you are trying your best too keep the levels down low and it's still a big effort in life to control it. My husband doesn't have the problem you have, his thyroids are fine, but I would like to find a reason for his before it's too late.
  • tcaldy Mar 04, 2014 @ 8:57 am
We eat less carbs and exercise without watching dietary cholesterol that much. Having read The Great Cholesterol Myth by Jonny Bowden, I don't believe it is as simple as HDL and LDL to assess the risk.,My husband asked for the more comprehensive testing,(multiple tests) which the doctor did do, and everything came back fine. Some of the effects of cholesterol lowering drugs are very harsh, so it's very worth taking a more complete look.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 04, 2014 @ 2:38 pm
Yes I agree with you, my husband is on two pills for high cholesterol, and it's only holding his cholesterol at a stable level but is still too high, we eat the same foods and mine is normal. It is something that needs more study in it. Maybe with tests they could pick it up at a earlier stage of life even at birth.
  • tonyleather Mar 04, 2014 @ 8:34 am
I drink a litre of juiced mixed fruits daily! I think it helps a lot!
  • kiwinana71 Mar 04, 2014 @ 2:26 pm
Yes it does help, but you have better results with some fruits more than others. This little eBook explains which they are. You look very healthy to me, that smile will keep you young forever, keep laughing.
  • esmonaco Mar 03, 2014 @ 2:54 pm
I have found that eating oatmeal every dy keeps mine in check:) Thanks for the review!!!!
  • kiwinana71 Mar 03, 2014 @ 8:01 pm
Yes very true eating cooked oatmeal porridge every day is a excellent source of fibre for controlling cholesterol. Do you have fruit with it also? That's very healthy
  • CherylFay Mar 02, 2014 @ 10:12 pm
I just found out my Cholesterol is up. Ugh. I might get this book. Sounds like a good book.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 02, 2014 @ 10:18 pm
Sorry to hear you have a Cholesterol problem. This ebook would be perfect to down load and read, it's very cheap and well worth the money, especially if you can lower it without drugs. All the best to you, keep healthy and happy. Smile.

This looks like a book everyone should be reading.
  • kiwinana71 Mar 02, 2014 @ 9:55 pm
I agree with you Robin. High Cholesterol shouldn't be taken lightly, it's something we should all check out and take appropriate steps to correct it if needed.

  • Susan52 Mar 02, 2014 @ 9:07 am
I think I need to read this book. My husband's cholesterol is on the edge and we (I) could be better about trying to control it, though overall we eat a pretty healthful diet. I appreciate the tips and your very helpful review!
  • kiwinana71 Mar 02, 2014 @ 2:36 pm
Thanks Susan for stopping-by and commenting. That the thing about your cholesterol levels, you may be eating healthy but you can still have a high level.
All the best for controlling your husbands levels, it is a never ending battle with my husband as you can't be watching all the time what they are eating.
  • Merrci Mar 02, 2014 @ 7:45 am
Sounds like a very interesting book, Kiwinana! I take meds for mine, but would like to eat healthy instead. If only baking desserts didn't interfere...sigh. This book is going on my wish list. The more you know the better, I think!
  • kiwinana71 Mar 02, 2014 @ 2:32 pm
Thanks for visiting, I have found that Flora Proactive or Becel in some parts of the world (a spread that you can use on your toast everyday) is good to help high Cholesterol levels, you may like to read about it in my blog, I have discovered another very useful tip about it also. http://lossofhairhelper.com/hair-fall-repair/
  • Brite-Ideas Mar 02, 2014 @ 1:59 am
thanks for this review, I'll keep this in mind for other family members - like you said, our diet is so important - it's hard to eat properly all the time, but sometimes we just have to make the effort no matter what
  • kiwinana71 Mar 02, 2014 @ 2:24 pm
Thanks for the comment, it is very important to get a hold on it, before your Cholesterol gets too high, the higher it gets the harder it is to get control of it and it is a killer.
